What to expect
Day 1 UK to Johannesburg, South Africa Depart the UK on your overnight flight to Johannesburg.
Days 2-4 Johannesburg to Kruger area, South Africa Fly to Hoedspruit and transfer to Garonga Safari Camp where you’ll stay for three nights. This romantic tented bush retreat sits within the Makalali Private Game Reserve – an hour’s drive from the world-famous Kruger National Park. Its style combines classic luxury with traditional African design. Days here start off with a warming tea or coffee and biscuits before an early morning game drive. You’ll stay in a spacious Luxury Tent with an en suite, outdoor shower and private viewing deck. Each tent is decorated in a safari-chic style with rough plastered walls and a clean, white canvas roof. Your all-inclusive stay involves all meals, two daily game drives, guided bush walks and a ‘sleep-out’ experience, where you can spend a night under the stars in a four-poster bed on the treehouse’s private viewing platform. The camp also has a swimming pool, massage sala and wine cellar stocked with superb South African varieties. Meals are usually served in the main lounge, which is also a popular spot for relaxing with a drink or two in front of the fire.
Day 5 Kruger area to Cape Town, South Africa Fly to Cape Town and board Azamara Quest® for your magnificent South Africa cruise.
