well appointed room and wonderful grounds
Our suite was incredible with a great view of table mountain and old world feel. Unfortunately we did not get much time to explore the grounds or the restaurants, but the gardens were lush with flowers. We would definitely like to stay again to get a better feeling for all the hotel has to offer. We have heard great things about the high tea.
WE enjoyed afternoon tea here our waitress was called Kourtha she was lovely and very knowledgeable about everything including the 45 different teas you do .. everything was amazing she is a credit to your team ,everything w3 had was fresh and very tasty .. the sweet treats well we didn’t know where to start so much choice and very well presented indeed We live near London and nothing will top this Hi tea so thank you for a amazin* experience and a big thanks to kourtha

Stayed for a long weekend to unwind. Food fabulous as we managed to stay during at a themed dinner night, Fantastic gym and spa and general ambiance great. Were fantastically helpful when plans had to change. I want to go back to finish our weekend!
Afternoon tea at the Mount Nelson Hotel
Afternoon tea at the Mount Nelson Hotel has been voted in the top 10 in the world, and we understand why. Upon arrive the service is exceptional. The hotel has a high end but relaxing feeling to it. The weather was beautiful so we sat outside on the terrace and ordered a few glasses of MCC to go with our sandwiches! They start by first providing you with a stand of hot and cold savouries including salmon, egg, ham and cheese sandwiches, spinach and cheese frittatas, onion bhajis and others. You can request any of these as many times as you like! Then come the scones with jam and clotted cream. Obviously we had the standard disagreement on whether the cream or jam goes on first (I say jam, Ryan says cream)! The sweets are kept inside the lounge area and there’s a huge variety but by this point I was exceptionally full! They also have a menu with over 40 varieties of tea, all of which are included in the price. Overall, it was a lovely, relaxing afternoon and an entitled different vibe to the hustle and bustle of Cape Town outside of the hotel walls.
The location, the garden.
We were there for high tea and it was amazing, never been to one like this before. The quality service, the tea and scones. The whole atmosphere was fantastic. Went for a walk in the garden and really relaxed.
