The divine Seychelles 😍😍
We stayed at Constance from the 4th Oct to the 13th Oct on half board with the junior suite.We decided to celebrate our second year anniversary at this hotel as we chose them due to the nature and beauty of the location. The time we went was supposed to be sunny with little showers but we experienced full day showers for 3 days where there wasn’t much to do and light showers everyday for the rest of the days. Some days has lovely sun but to get the best of it is early morning from 6:30am to 12pm as per our experience. It’s not necessary to tip, as the hotel says so too but if you would like you can, as per what you are comfortable with. The time of our stay we felt there were both positives and negatives with the hotel. There are 5 restaurants linked with the hotel; Corrosol ( Main buffet), Cyann (signature restaurant), Helios, Adam and Eve ( mixed -Asian cuisine) and Seselwa. Adam and Eve has to be The Best Restaurant in Constance. Starting from the staff who are absolutely expectional to the head Chef. The hospitality and the food are on a different level to the rest of the restaurants. If you are a foodie like us, whom enjoy food like Thai curries and unique dishes like Pork Sisig (out is this world) this is the place to book. We ended up having dinner 3 times here trying new dishes each time to see if the unique taste was just in one or it’s a flow in the menu. Chef Jahir is a very welcoming man and he visits each guest to get a feedback every single night. He takes pride In his work which shows in the food. We couldn’t get a table on the night before we were leaving due to miscommunication but Jennifer gave us a special table that night due to the situation. Cris, Merlyn, Angelique were lovely too. Corrosol being the buffet was lovely with a variety of cuisines every morning and evening(themed food). We felt they had lovely hospitality esp as I am originally from Kenya; Samson, Mussa and Timothy had been so welcoming, kept us always smiling and a homely feeling. Cyann had overall lovely people with people like Melody and the Manager Nicholas. The food had unique tastes but the dinner menu was on the higher side of prices even though being half board you get 400 rupees credit each. Helios has a mixed menu with the Chicken Souvlaki being one of the best dishes. Vijai was really kind to us. Seselwa has one of the worst hospitality and staff. With the servers hanging around having a chat and Janette being one of the rudest, this lets the restaurant Down as food quality isn’t good either. This is horrible as it is one of the north beach restaurant! The negatives we have are 3 main ones with one which shocked the general manager too when we mentioned it. I had a horrible swelling in my mouth on the right side, went to the guest relations to get the on call doctor to come have a look but instead he told the reception he wasn’t a dentist and was not gonna come but send medicines. I am no doctor but that was absolutely ridiculous!! He didn’t speak to me to ask me if I was on medication or if I had any form of anything but decided to send medication which was disappointing and to make it worse that night and the following day or nights I wasn’t given medication, no one came to see me but the chef at Adam and Eve provided cloves to numb the pain as I was just having soft foods for 2 days. Hope this does not happen to anyone coz it was disappointing for a 5 star! Very!! Secondly we wanted to book the restaurant as mentioned earlier. So earlier that day we went to reservations desk to confirm our booking but before we could sit the lady asked is us to leave and not be seated as we asked the question of the booking as we approached her to sit. She was absolutely disgusting with her attitude and how she treated my husband and I. That’s when she was forced by us to call Jennifer to sort the booking which Jennifer did amazingly! But the lady at that desk either needs to be taught how to speak or trained! Coz it was unexceptable! The third is that the buggie situation and calling of them isn’t very convenient and needs better management. Which can be sorted easily. The SPA was lovely, ranging from over 15 types of massages, facials, nail care, luxury baths and cocktails. They can range from 36 pounds of a 30 minute foot massage to 300 pounds per couple for luxury massages. Nola, Harmendra and Sushanta provided excellent service. If you are an older couple this hotel is nice to relax as nothing much to do but at the same time as it’s based on big grounds it’s a lot to walk which may be difficult for them. As per any *excursions* it is on the higher side of prices. You would have to book with the travel agents as the hotel doesn’t provide to any private tours or you’d have to book through the locals whom you shall find at the beach. The price to go see Victoria ( the capital ) would be around 80 pounds via taxi return whereas with the hotel car around 100 pounds. To see the other islands the travel agents would charge around 400 pounds per couple to 2 beaches and snorkeling. They provide half day tours and full day ones which range from 130 to 200 pounds per couple. The locals would provide snorkeling with around 230 pounds per couple for 3 hours plus a BBQ. All beaches in Seychelles are public. Overall our stay at Constance was lovely. Seychelles is magical 😍😍
Extra bit after visit!
I was unable to continue my review as had to wait a few months but felt it was important to do so.. The number one addition I wanted to make was praise for The Kids Club, it was wonderful!!! My son,7 yrs, decided he preferred it to spending time with us, initially I was a little hurt then realised what a wonderful break they d given us all.. He had the best time and the staff were absolutely amazing, lovely, lovely ladies..Kaleb from uk sends his love! Adding that food is included for free as is all kids food.. Secondly I wanted to mention that there was a fridge in the room which had boxes of milk in it!! The food and staff in the buffet restaurant was, and were, fabulous as were the views.. We only used the buffet restaurant in the end as it was so good and friendly. No worries about formal wear as we found it to be pretty casual. The staff were wonderful at looking after our very fussy boy, again we applaud the restaurant staff/chefs.. too many to mention by name (omelette lady especially). If you want to take an excursion look at the cycle trip to La Digue, one of the best days ever..having not ridden a bike in years it was a very funny/fun experience.. 2 ferries, 2 buses and 3 bikes.. quite a day.. La Digue beaches being those of dreams OH MY!!! The weather caused some issues but all added to the experience!! We were situated by the South Beach which I really preferred, we took walks to North Beach which is a bit more active and good for snorkeling .. The perimeter walk is fabulous but warning to Arachnophobes.. like me.. be prepared!!!! All in all we absolutely loved our visit and oh how I wish we d been on lockdown there!! So grateful we got there before the world turned!! Many thanks to buffet staff and kids club staff once again and all the housekeepers, room was decorated for our anniversary beautifully Thank you !!!
Excellente staff, excellent location and excellent hotel
One of the best hotels experience we have ever witnessed; the suites are amazing, very clean (2 services of cleaning per day) and the staff are very friendly. The hotel has different beaches and an amazing kids area (among other excellent activities). Highly recommend for an unforgettable experience!
Our dinning experience in Corrosol during the pandemic
We stayed at the Constance Ephelia resort Mahé Seychelles for six weeks on a full board package in the junior suite room 227. We would like to express our feelings and gratitude towards those exceptional individual mentioned below. First we would like to congratulate Mr Wesley for his amazing team throughout our stay. After a long day from breakfast until dinner, Mr Wesley always keeps and maintain his professionalism by keeping his posture and welcoming us in his restaurant (Corrosol), without showing any physical ￼signs of fatigue or apathetic behaviour. Second we would also like to thank our waitress Eneni for making our experience memorable each time we dine by addressing us by our names and remembering our specific beverage order from Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner. Eneni is someone we can describe as that sun that comes out after a storm, so full of energy and full of life, humble and amazing to have around for a quick conversation, she also show passion and dedication into her job. Bart was always on top of his game and delivering his duties and responsibilities to make sure the service runs smoothly along side Mr Wesley. Bart even made sometime to come up to our table including Mr Wesley, to check if we needed anything on various occasion. And for the 2 Sommelier we cannot forget Daren & Anna very smart in there uniform and well groomed from head to toe, they are simply phenomenal by assisting us with our daily needs, making sure that we are constantly being looked after from Daren pulling the chair for us to seat down and Anna doing a rapid service recovery from the desert buffet that was closed 15mins early. And last but not least i will definitely come back to Ephelia to taste Chef Tom’s pasta. We always test his cooking skills and to be honest his pasta meets all the criteria and standards require in a 5* restaurant, congratulation chef, im definitely looking forward to come back to taste your food again. Hotel & rooms are beautiful, lots of effort went into ours as we were on honeymoon and the upgrade was amazing! Food was really good but Adam and Eve restaurant definitely our favourite by far. Very attentive staff and good facilities available for little to no cost! Well worth the money and I’d love to go back 💕
