Great Location, Lovely Property
We were booked here through Seven Wonders Safaris in Arusha, Tanzania. They suggested this property because of its reputation, experience and closeness to Volcanoes National Park. It was an ideal location and they were right. It was perfect for us. We were a small group and everyone loved their cottage, fire in the evening, meals, foot massage after a great hike and the meals were very good. The boot cleaning was amazing. They were like new when returned. The front desk staff was very helpful and the area was just beautiful.
A memorable experience
We absolutely loved our experience at the lodge, we did enjoy everything about our 2 nights stay. The lodge blends very beautifully with the surrounding countryside. The cottages are spacious, with a fireplace which was lit every evening, the meals were also very delicious and freshly prepared.. The staff were so welcoming, warm and very kind. Special thanks to Daido, Theo and Benjamin who were such a delight and we felt that we made long lasting friendships with them. PS: The hot water bottles tucked into our comfortable bed made a delightful surprise on the chilly nights. For sure this is a place we would visit again.
We stayed at this lodge for our gorilla and golden monkey treks. The lodge is rustic as you would expect for this remote location. Guests stay in cottages on the property that are spacious and clean. There was a turndown service each night with a hot water bottle snuggled in your bed to warm in as well as a fireplace. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. Generous mostly buffet-style meal choices. We were able to rent shin guards for the treks at the lodge for a nominal fee (well worth it!). There’s not a lot to do do most people gather around the large indoor fireplaces and get to know each other. They do have tribal dancing at 5 each night for about an hour. I really enjoyed the stay and would definitely go back again.
Great stay at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful! The hotel is quite basic but you don’t really need more and the location is fantastic - close to park headquarters. Room was very spacious albeit a bit cold during my stay (late February) but they come around and make fires in the rooms which does the trick. Bed super comfy! The food was good and they also did a fantastic job cleaning boots after the trek which was essentially as mine were covered in mud! The traditional dancing in the evening was nice to watch and support the local community. I only had one problem when I arrived which was no loo paper / water in my room and it took a while to get sorted but other than that no complaints. There isn’t much to do at the lodge when you aren’t trekking so I suggest bringing a book to enjoy the quiet!
Supper Eco Resort
We have stayed in this hotel few times and from our second visit we were overwhelmed that all staff remembered us and you can feel their true expression of welcoming you, this made us feel applauded. Staff are very helpful will go extra mile to make your stay memorable. The ambiance all around this Eco lodge is spectacular, the private cottages with nice view of Virunga mountains, everything here is natural. As regular visitor to Rwanda we can’t afford without spending time at this place, we are not fancy of mountain tracking, we come here for relaxing and indeed spending a day in this resort you fee fully relinquish. The everyday 5 o’clock local dance is extravaganza, food is very nice and can be made special to your individual desire. Looking forward to our next visit.
