Beautiful property. Great facilities. Incredible beach. Very clean and well maintained. Staff very friendly....look for Hugo as you arrive....could not have been more helpful. It is a huge property, so felt a bit cruise like....big excellent breakfast buffet...but a zoo. Off season, so only 2 restaurants open. On Sunday only one. Hotel was packed with golf tournament and management obviously forgot to anticipate, so line ups, and many guests just walked away. Staff were called in from front desk, concierge, etc to serve. Kitchen should all get a raise....food slow but hot and good regardless!!
A haven of peace and tranquility
Stayed in this beautiful hotel for 4 days just prior to Christmas , the resort is quite big with different accommodation options , we stayed in the 5 star hotel . Rooms are beautifully appointed and tastefully decorated . The overall hotel is very impressive with a real sense of space and beautiful walks and access to a stunning beach . The breakfast is excellent and service in the breakfast room is tremendous . The only 2 negatives were actually initially finding the hotel as we arrived on a dark, stormy night and Google map coordinates are incorrect so we drove around for 45 minutes before finding it as despite having lots of advertising in Faro airport , there are no signs for the hotel on the approach roads ( there are for neighboring hotels) . Also , at times the service was a bit patchy and not quite 5 star ( the check in agent said he would send a welcome gift to our room as an apology for the difficulty finding the place .. which never arrived ) and the one time we chose to eat in the cafe on site they actually forgot one of our main courses .. overall a very nice hotel and one we plan on returning to ..
an old favourite
Once again we stayed at this hotel during September. Once again, we loved it. I should mention that we were quite worried with the change of ownership and some of the comments concerning the beach sun loungers. The beach is the main reason we visit this hotel. However we were quite happy to find that there was no payment required for them, only the loungers on the roof of the restaurant which incidentally were never rented while we were there. Staff were very pleasant and the hotel, while a little on the dated side, filled every requirement we needed. We taxied almost most nights to Vilamoura (roughly around E25) as there are a couple of restaurants there that are very good. As we usually do three holidays a year (at a great stage in life...empty nesters) this holiday venue really suits us having a warm relaxing, good food and great beach break before the winter. I think it will mostly suit older people or young couples with small children. Bare in mind the walk back from beach to the hotel. Its quite an incline with many steps. All in all a good hotel with a good breakfast.
Nice relaxing hotel
This is a huge place - several properties. Time share resort. we stayed over new years eve. the main lobby seems a bit dated. the staff was really great. they upgraded us to the hotel. it was newer, more modern. great rooms. nice big bed. great bathroom. nice patio and view. this is a very family friendly resort. rooms were quiet.
This hotel is fabulous. So clean and friendly staff who all speak great english and french. The rooms are well equipped with towels, bathrobes and the room is quite big with a very modern bathroom. The breakfast is just perfect, with everything you need and the garden is so well kept and the little path taking you down to the beautiful beach is fantastic. The gym and the swimmingpool are clean. We had a great stay here. I very much appreciate the cleaniness and the friendly staff.
