Luxurious hotel at south end of Miraflores district
Booked this through the American Express Fine Hotels program. The room was ready for us and available for check-in at 11AM. The front desk honored the 4PM AMEX late checkout a little grudgingly -- be sure to bring a printout of your AMEX reservation showing the 4PM checkout. (And the cleaning staff was waiting right outside our room when we left it at 3:45PM). But they did give us a complementary pass to the executive lounge while we waited to go to the airport for our midnight flight home. The US $100 spa credit can't be traded for a dining credit, but I did get a very nice $97 Swedish massage for 1 hour. The staff is incredibly helpful, so eager that I had to shoo them away sometimes. The Concierge had some good dinner recommendations. If you don't want Lima's famous fine dining, the nearby Larcomar mall has lots of restaurant choices. In the room, the bed was very comfortable. The light switches were a little confusing. A well laid out bathroom with a shower that had both waterfall and hand held nozzles. Decent blackout curtains, although they left in a little light around the edges. Outstanding breakfast buffet. Tons of items. We were able to skip lunch or just eat a snack during the days' sightseeing. Hot items, omelet bar, smoked salmon, a variety of local seeds to try, breads, fruits, everything.
Belmond = Best
This is our second Belmond property that we have stayed at in South America. The staff, rooms, food, location are just simply the best. We had a great experience. Highlights: breakfast every morning, massage, and the beds!
Belmond Miraflores Park
Wonderful hotel, staff, pool, food, restaurant and with a great location above the Pacific Ocean and breaking waves. It provided excellent hotel car transportation through Lima's crazy traffic to the old City
Belmond doesn't do A-
Everything at the hotel was at a very high standard. The hotel is very well located. The scenery was quite beautiful and the breakfast was great. Very clean hotel room. Transportation was offered to areas of interest. The amenities offered were what someone would expect from a hotel of its class.
Sergio Alcantara - concierge
Sergio was one of many staff at the hotel who made our stay so memorable. We really appreciated his friendly yet professional demeanour, and he was always prepared to go the extra mile to ensure that we were taken care of. He is an excellent representative of Belmond, and of Lima!
