Beautifully located on the shores of lake Titicaca
The hotel is located outside of Puno on the shores of lake Titicaca. It takes about 10 minutes by taxi into town. The property is beautiful with a big garden by the lake and perfect views of the lake and Puno, especially by night. There is a jetty that enables you to walk a few steps out to the lake. Public areas are nicely appointed with lots of local hints. We had a room with balcony and lake view. The room is small but ok, the bathroom is just ok. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We had dinner in the restaurant with great views of Puno by night. Food is good and well presented. Breakfast is good and offers a big variety of local and international delicacies. Breakfast staff is very friendly.
Gem on the Lake
A wonderful place to relax and enjoy fantastic scenery. Hiked the trails and kayaked around the island enjoying the scenic and peaceful environment. Wonderful staff were attentive to needs and eagerly offered their assistance.
Another winner from the Casa Andina hotel group
An excellent hotel right on the shore of Lake Titicaca and close to downtown Puna. Open and airy with the nicest staff! Our room was quite large with a balcony and others had a walk-out patio. They have a long pier that you can walk on for a wide-angle view of the lake and wildlife. We watched the occasional train go by (not at night, so your sleep is not disturbed) and the ducks settle in for the night, and the shepherds round up their cattle for the evening. Such fun! One little cautionary note, though: do not walk into town. It's much safer to take a taxi.
Very good food and service
The food was simply excellent, the place has an amazing view on the lake and a great feeling with the 2 chimneys. The service was as good as a 5 star hotel, special thanks to Jesus our waiter that night :)
The hotel is located less than a five minute taxi ride from the main part of town. The view of the lake and Puno is spectacular. There is a boardwalk that extends over the marsh are into the lake that provides opportunities to see some wild guinea pigs and birds. We stayed here 3 nights and had dinner in the restaurant each night. There were plenty of choices. The prices were reasonable and offered a great view. There was a fire going every night, which added to the experience. Breakfast was included and the options were plentiful. They would even cook eggs to order if you wanted them. All staff were very helpful and attentive. The wifi was very reliable.
