Our stay at the Al Bustan Palace
Well what can we say? This hotel is absolutely amazing in every respect. We have been going in May over the last 10 years, and it never fails to be the most wonderful place. From the stunning reception area, (with its smell of frankincense), the grounds, the pools, the beach, the restaurant (al khiran) and every single member of staff we met were as good as it gets. We would like to give special mentions to members of staff who made it such a great stay; Starting at reception with Gulnaz who made us laugh so much, we cried, and brought frankincense to our room, and "21 Pilots" (you know who you are) who we talked about our love of music. To housekeeping; Nasir who kept our room as it should be every morning, and making us feel so welcome with his "Towel Art" and everyone who did the turndown service at night. To Meriem the restaurant host who, always remembered your name and room number, which is such a nice touch. To Mr Ali who has looked after us for years and treats us as family, and Najma who again has looked after us so well at breakfast for many years. To Mohammed (the new Mr Ali), who was the perfect host in the evenings. To the waiters Vidrenda and Nirmal, who were so attentive and made us feel so welcome, to all the chefs, especially Puneet who went out of his way to make us banana smoothies every morning, and all the chefs and other waiters who we do not know the names of, you are a credit to the hotel. To the pool guys who work so hard in the heat, being so attentive with the towels and making sure we had iced water. And to Marta the manager, who we had a wonderful chat with. I hope we have not missed anyone out. We cannot wait to return sometime very soon, with much gratitude, Sally and Martin
Different experience but amazing,,
Its first time for me at Albustan palace hotel actually it was amazing experience specially we visited Al maha bar I recommend this place for anyone if need to relax and listen to jazz music, and special thanks for the gentleman who served for us he was so kind and taking care of us thank u very much MOUSTAFA we will come back again and special thanks also for the bar man Dev the cocktails were amazing,, see u soon guys ❤️❤️

It amazing one of the amazing hotels in Muscat .The room dinning team is excellent. All the oder has been on Time the chicken barayani is 😋😋.thanks for u r excellent service .I really appreciate the chef from Alkharin kitchen 👌 .keep it up .Absolutely will come back again.
Couldn't ask for better
Our last day in Oman we just spent on the balcony. Although the mountains are stark, they have an incredible beauty against the turquoise blue of the Gulf of Oman. I have to admit, i was a bit leary to travel here but the Omani people are absolutely beautiful. Friendly, welcoming and engaging. Yet another wonderful opportunity to experience a very different and yet beautiful culture ❤️
Al bustan experience
I stayed at the Al bustan a few days ago. Although my stay went well I hve a few pieces of feedback I’d like to share: 1. During check in, the front desk staff wasn’t aware that I was supposed to get $100 experience credit to spend at the hotel. It seemed like my booking details via Amex travel “Fine Resorts & Hotels” didn’t get updated in Al Bustan’s booking systems. Same with checkout, my key got deactivated even though I was supposed to receive a “guaranteed“ late checkout at 4pm. When I spoke to the short haired front desk lady she mentioned that their systems weren’t updated and that it wasn’t up to them. As a customer at Ritz Carlton, don’t think it’s a customer’s responsibility to make sure their systems are updated correctly. 2. Service at the pool area was incredibly slow. There was probably only one person trying to fulfill orders. 3. The breakfast delivered in the room had stale fruits and breads in the bread basket. When I showed this to the front desk short haired lady (don’t remember her name) she said that it might have got ruined while being delivered to the room. I mentioned that they weren’t damaged but rather “stale”. Almost seemed like week old breads. Overall my stay wasn’t too great. I expected so much more from Oman’s iconic Al Bustan hotel. I do want to call out that Febri Sari who worked in the Atrium Lounge area took really good care of me. She came up to me while I was having coffee/snacks and made sure my stay was going well and asked if I needed anything at all. She was really respectful and professional. I could see that she genuinely cared about my experience at Al bustan and suggested the different restaurants and experiences (like the jazz lounge) I can try during my stay. She embodied what I would expect from Al bustan Ritz Carlton standards. Please give her a raise/promotion.
