A Perfect Stay
My daughter (8) and I recently stayed at Bay of Many Coves for two nights and made memories to last a lifetime. From the time you arrive on the dock until you depart, you are treated to a first-class experience. Rianne met us on the dock and gave us a lovely tour of the property. Our apartment was beautiful, so airy with stunning peaceful views. During our stay we did the "midnight" hike to see the glowworms, paddled around on the kayaks, hiked to the waterfall, swam in the pool and ate delicious food. We also thoroughly enjoyed just sitting in our room reading a book. Graeme is an outstanding host always making my daughter feel so special. From the servers to housekeeping to grounds crew, everyone had a smile on their face, showed genuine interest in the guests and eager to assist. I really cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay here. It was a very special mother-daughter trip that we will cherish the memories from forever. Thank you to Rianne, Graeme and the entire team at Bay of Many Coves. We will be back!
Never mind that our original honeymoon booking for the Maldives was no longer possible, we felt just as spoilt being at Bay of Many Coves! The welcome and delight at our room was such that within a few short hours we decided to extend our stay by another night. The staff, every single one, were brilliant. Hats off to Graeme and Rianne for their management. We felt wonderfully looked after. All the meals were delicious, starting with epic breakfasts. Great selection of gins too! Service impeccable, and the location provided a squillion dollar outlook. Wonderful hot stone massage should not be missed. Nice to walk the property and to take a water taxi over for a few hours hiking part of the Queen Charlotte track. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting other Kiwis holidaying ‘in-our backyard’. Thank you BOMC: Graeme, Rianne, Lewis, Aaron, CJ, Danielle, Linnea💫 Sorry it has taken so long to write this review.
What a way to celebrate our 50th anniversary
We chose to “run away” to celebrate both our 50th wedding anniversary and Christmas, and it was so special to do this at Bay of Many Coves. The location in the Sounds is brilliant with the deep water, bush and amazing bird life. We were certainly made to feel special by staff, starting with a platter and bottle of tattinger waiting in our apartment. Our 7 course degustation meal on the 23 Dec, the actual day of our anniversary was excellent - with 7 matching wines!
Best Xmas ever
WOW WOW WOW Who would have thought after our first visit it could get better! well it did! If you’re looking for a place to relax and be pampered then look no further Graeme (manger) and his wonderful team made our second visit even better than the first Location, location, location, the serenity, food, just feeling like you belong makes for a wonderful visit! We were celebrating a special birthday and Xmas so a double reason to treat ourselves and BOMC yet again exceeded our expectations. To wake to the sounds of singing Tui and Kereru (native Wood Pigeon’s) what more could a NZer ask for and often just metres away so you truly can see them in full splendour. But for me it’s about the food and they delivered in every way, Xmas dinner degustation was truly out of the box. Every meal was flavour and more flavour and that’s what it’s all about! No wearing fancy suits etc just enjoy and relax We Kayaked in Queen charlotte sound and getting up close to nature while still managing to relax is amazing. Only to return to the cove and be spoilt by the team with whatever you need. This place it right up there in every way and for me a “Bucket list” entry Even the other guest were just so easy to mix with and easy going Don’t hesitate just do it, we highly recommend as visit to Graeme & his wonderful team We will be back (didn’t some famous actor say that )
There is not enough room here for us to rant and rave about this place. So we’ll do our best. Bay of Many Coves was absolutely amazing starting before we even arrived. First, know that you have to take a ferry from Picton to get there. The staff of the ferry company (Cougar Line) was amazing and so helpful in getting us to Bay of Many Coves. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Graeme and Kim the managers of the hotel who made our stay absolutely lovely. The resort is quaint and secluded, the staff was beyond helpful in providing personal and unique experiences, and the FOOD. The food was impeccable. The chef’s menu was largely based on the ingredients they’d had flown in recently and it absolutely blew us away. Honestly, this is a place that we would go back to New Zealand for.
