Location amazing, housekeeping terrible

We visited for 5 nights in early January. Our room was a family room with 2 queen beds overlooking the garden. The room was fine and was as advertised. The hotel was full for each night we stayed, not surprising given peak holiday time. The pool was great for the kids. We didn’t use the restaurant due to the proximity to the town centre so can’t comment on the food. Housekeeping was clearly under pressure. On 2 occasions during our 5 night stay we returned to the hotel around 5 to find the room unserviced, on querying with reception we were advised that the room cleaning was prioritised based on departing guests and which rooms were required for arriving guests, which makes sense however even with this taken into account, for rooms not to get made up by 5pm isn’t really acceptable. The standard of cleaning was terrible. Toilet rolls not refilled, room not vacuumed, no liners in the rubbish bins, despairing there being signs warning of ants, the bathroom was not cleaned and certainly not the toilet and no extra coffee or milk to replace those that had been used. All that was done was beds made and towels replaced. And to top it off a sentimental child’s bedtime toy went missing, assumed taken during linen removal. Given the prices charged, the housekeeping standards need serious attention. Not sure we would return.

stayed 3x nights in Jan, good place, particularly like the small garden within the hotel complex. Though I did not get a room on level 1 as I requested in my booking confirmed 2x months in advance, which is a small flaw, saying that would still recommend overall.

Very Comfy

Walking distance to the beach and all amenities, restaurants, bottle store, shops. Nice restaurant, were very impressed with the chef abliging to dietary needs. Suits all ages, units upstairs and down. Nice surrounding ground and swimming pool.

Love this hotel!

Been back twice now. Excellent hospitality. It's just up the road from the beach. There is a Michelin chef running the dining room. The food was great! Take the buffet breakfast; that will really set you up for the day.

Pleasant

Nice room, good facilities laundry etc although pool quite small for the volume of guests over summer. Easy walk to beach, liquor store and restaurants nearby Ample parking for car and jet ski out back.
