I just returned last week from a week long vacation to Paradisus La Perla. Here is my very honest assessment of the resort. - The front desk was wonderful. Anil checked us in, and could not have welcomed us more, as well as quickly handled some questions at other times during our stay. Guadalupe was also amazing at the desk and answered several questions. Both ladies could not be nicer or more helpful. - Our room was beautiful, clean AND IT GOT COLD! This may sound silly, but several times, we’ve stayed at hotels in tropical climates and the rooms really don’t get as cool as we want at night. The AC in the rooms kicked it out, and we were able to sleep like babies! - The entire resort was spotlessly clean and maintained. Also, the staff could not have been more friendly and accommodating! EVERYWHERE we went, the staff is asking if you have food allergies. This is the place to be if you do have food allergies, because they take it so seriously. Special shot out to Juan at the pool for SUCH FANTASTIC SERVICE EVERY DAY! Mario at Vento was also outstanding. - The food is really good, but I feel like a lot was too “fusion-ish” The Italian was more “Mediterranean”, and the Mexican was more “Latin.” It would have been nice to have some more delicious basics. The grill by the pool was actually one of our favorites, for it’s fresh, Mexican basics. The Brazilian steakhouse is also a must! - The beach is gorgeous, but a bit of a walk from the main pool areas, and you have to walk through tropical gardens. This isn’t the type of resort where you can see the beach while laying around the pool. It was nice that the beach had it’s own bar and waiters to bring you food and drinks as it would be a hike to bring anything from the main hotel area. - The whole hotel felt VERY SAFE! I love all things Mexico, and feel very safe throughout the country, but my husband is a little more cautious, and probably a little more realistic than me. LOL the security is unreal, and he kept saying how safe he felt, and how impressed he was with the hotels security measures. We did leave several times and go into town. The town is so charming and has fantastic shopping. We both felt very safe, and there are taxis everywhere that can easily take you back to the resort. - The only con I would say is, to be aware of the club sales pitch. We ended up signing up for the 10am breakfast the first full day we were at the resort. We were assured time and time again that this would only be 60 minutes. It ended up being over 2 hours. We were passed around to 5 people and were in multiple locations. It was BEYOND exhausting. It was like “Here’s Dave, he’ll show you the stats.....Now Nick will tell you all about the properties....oh, and Matt will talk about financing.” It was exhausting, and I found myself thinking, “Why am I sitting here crunching number and thinking about financing options, when I came here to relax!?!?!?!?” Here’s the best part. They kept talking about this new resort in Punta Cana, and how we needed to check it out. I was like, “Um. This is my first day in Mexico, and I chose Mexico because I love everything about the culture and people. If I wanted to be in the Dominican Republic, I would have gone there.” - Besides this annoyance, everything was wonderful, and next time I will refuse the breakfast speech and start enjoying my vacation! I will ABSOLUTELY rebook at this property!
Renee's Bday Party Jan 2020
Par excellence. You need to work with Ana Moncada, Paradisus Conference Sales Manager. She managed my wife's birthday like a professional conference but with a intimate and fun touch. She planned our whole itinerary from lunches to dinners for our party of 15. Josue Alvarez, Best Day Supervisor, managed our excursions and travel to and from the airport. They are the one two punch to a memorable experience, so much, we plan to come back in September. We have a swim up suite with Iran and Rueben serving up drinks and food, they are the one two punch in the interior once you get set up for fun. I can't say enough about Ana Moncada, she is a true professional and one to have on your side with all the rules they have at the Paradisus (rules because folks abuse the system for this 5 star resort). The food is 5 star. You need to do the Royal Service to get royal service. You only live once and need to experience every day to the fullest, might as well have the best team at Paradisus support you in that endeavor.
Best place ever
The food was amazing !! And the beach too. The service here is a dream. Special thanks to Jorge Moreno from the Gabi Club/ special place in my heart for ever. And my heart will go on. Best cuba libre.
Wonderful Birthday Spent At La Perla
Beautiful hotel, amazing service, great food. There was really no entertainment available so we were disappointed with that. The beach was not the greatest, but our beach attendant Miguel and our server Neimus (sp?) made the experience wonderful. There were lots of kids at the adjoining La Esmerelda and you share the main buffett with them.
Had our destination wedding at Paradisus La Perla - BEST Resort 10/10 !!!
We had our wedding at Paradisus in February of 2019, and had the best weekend of our lives! We cannot recommend this resort enough. The staff took SUCH great care of all of our wedding guests (92 people!). We especially want to thank Jaime Alarcón, our Romance Coordinator. He bent over backwards to make sure our wedding weekend went off without a hitch, and we love him so much. At La Perla, the Royal Service rooms are very spacious and super nice. The suite we stayed in was great, a huge dining table and very large deck. The food at the resort is also delicious, and is a main reason we chose the Paradisus for our wedding. Our favorite restaurant is Olio - you cannot go wrong with the gnocchi! We can't wait to go back to Paradisus to celebrate our anniversary!
