The rooms were quite small and we were carrying a lot of bags but the manager Priyanka cooperated with us and moved us to a larger room. The buffet was not very tasty and the options are limited but the staff are helpful when we ask for something. Al Sharq Restaurant was very tasty and delicious, Greetings to the Chef and to the Manager Rudy for making our stay beautiful. We had a great evening at the beach thanks to Vick and his delicious food. Thank you Vic for your generosity. The most beautiful beach and sunset view that a person can pass on is in this hotel. worth a visit. I will visit this beautiful country again to meet its great people
We had a fantastic stay at Lux Le Morne, mainly thanks to Jérémie and his whole team. The main asset of this hotel is definitely its staff who is absolutely fantastic. From the gardener to the GM, they are all ready to make all what is possible for you to have a great stay and to feel pampered and special. There is this family spirit amongst them that makes this hotel really special. On top of this the location is absolutely stunning and the beach absolutely fantastic. The only slightly weak point is the buffet restaurant in the evening that I did not really like, but I know that the GM is looking into it to improve the guests experience there. So, many thanks to the Lux Le Morne team for the 4 great days we spent there. We will definitely come back sooner than later.
A truly magical place that I cannot recommend highly enough
My wife and I have just returned from our honeymoon, and we'd head back to LUX* Le Morne in a heartbeat. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel incredibly special, welcome and at home. During Covid the hotel underwent a massive transformation, the rooms have beautiful chic decor, there's lots of natural light and have wonderful amenities. Everywhere is spotless, from the beach to the toilets, from the bar to walkways The stretch of beach it's situated on is absolutely pristine, you have water service on the beach loungers with two stunning pool bars on either side of the hotel. ALDO at the Ilot bar had such beautiful charm and took immense pleasure at serving your drinks and occasional beach meal, I can't thank him enough for that little added sparkle he gave us. The beach restaurant served beautiful food, presented so perfectly, at lunch and dinner, their pizzas were to die for, and the menu offered both Western and local dishes and incredibly fresh seafood that was always cooked to perfection. MERVIN and ANUNTIO were always on hand to make your meal special with humour, politeness and generally being so amazingly accommodating. The recently refurbished bar was open, clean, full of light, candles and had a lovely mix of a buzz and tranquillity at the same time. HARVIND takes so much pride in his cocktails and often made things off the menu for you to your tastes, allowing you to try different things. He's a very talented mixologist with a warm personality and a great sense of humour. Really made our evenings listening to the wonderful life music there very special. The Thai restaurant on site 'East' is just dreamy with astonishingly authentic meals. It is a shame that it's not included in the All Inclusive package but you quickly forgot about this when RODEE just made you feel like such a friend. His sincerity, passion and dedication to his restaurant and resort is unmistakable. He's one of the kindest souls I've ever been lucky enough to meet. The Kitchen restaurant is wonderful. Buffet Breakfasts with stations that all have separate purposes. There's the range of sausages, the eggs which are cooked to your taste, boiled, scrambled, friend or poached with it's own little bespoke omelette which is cooked on demand, there's Asian dim sum and noodles for breakfast too, a sweet station where crepes, waffles, French toast is again cooked on demand with your own toppings. The range of fresh fruit and juices are to die for, then there's the continental range of pastries, breads, cold meats and cheeses that mean you're left wanting for nothing. Lunch is A la Carte and then dinner is back to buffet style with has a range of freshly replenished curries, fish, steak, 20cm long prawns which are cooked in front of you, for you, an array of western dishes, an on-demand cooked pasta station and then the beautiful individual desserts were just the icing on the cake - something for everyone! The reception and front of house staff were brilliant, but in particular FAADHIL. He went above and beyond to arrange trips, give you tips on where to visit in the island, contacting companies to find out availability, booking things for you and help you plan your stay. Outside of the hotel there is the horse riding/swimming on the beach which is a must, climbing Le Morne Brabant mountain and taking in the mesmerising view from the top, Zip Lining and Quad Biking at La Vallee Des Coulerurs is exhilarating and the kite surfing in the bay around the corner from the hotel is very popular also. I'd recommend hiring a car too, which they will gladly help you out with and it's delivered to the hotel. Then as part of the hotels facilities you've got access to paddle boarding, kayaking, pedelo boats, snorkelling, water skiing and more. Additional things such as sunset boat cruises, boat trips out fishing and to swim with the dolphins and scuba diving are an extra, but worthwhile cost. I'd highly recommend using 'Skipper Dan' (who is actually external from the hotel, but is based right on the beach) for your Dolphin Watching as he leaves at 6am, rather then 7:30am when it's a little more crowded. Then there's VIK, what a man. A well travelled, insightful, spiritual, altruistic, kind and selfless man who's can take you out snorkelling to catch Sea Urchins and eat them on the beach with a glass of fizz, he even cooked us a private meal on the beach one evening, prepared by himself with an octopus he'd caught that day. He's a rum connoisseur and allows you to sample his home made collections, all infused with spices, fruits and herbs with such variety. The spa is very special too, very reasonably priced, which comes down even further when you book a certain amount of hours. Their practitioners cater for all needs and have a long list of treatments to offer serenity, relaxation and peace of mind. The only downside was all of the staff having to wear masks, meaning we weren't able to see their magical smiles. But that's the world we have to live in, for now. Whenever anyone greets you, in a hallway, in the restaurants, the maids in your room, the barmen, they put their hand on their heart and almost quarter bow to you which is so fitting as LUX Le Morne will always have a place in our hearts'. We couldn't recommend this place highly enough! Truly magical, in every way.
