Savana is the Heritage Awali’s main restaurant where you can enjoy a buffet breakfast in a laid back setting overlooking shimmering ponds and surrounded by ethnic artwork. At dinner there is a table d’hôte menu featuring a selection of Mauritian and international dishes. The open-air Amafrooty Restaurant is situated next to the main swimming pool and is open daily for light bites until the early evening and teatime pancakes between 4 and 6pm. Gourmet seafood dishes and Mauritian specialities are served at the beach side eatery Infinity Blue, the perfect spot for a romantic dinner under the stars. Zafarani is the vibrant new Indian restaurant serving traditional Indian dishes.
Guests can also enjoy meals at nine other restaurants within the Domaine de Bel Ombre* including the fine dining establishment Le Château de Bel Ombre and the chic C Beach Club. This elegant restaurant offers a selection of local dishes and the opportunity to step back in time with its unique setting in a 19th Century mansion. In the evening dining is an elegant affair and gentlemen should wear long trousers/smart jeans, collared shirts and closed shoes for dinner. Please note that no shorts, trainers or flip flops will be allowed in bars and restaurants as from 7pm.
At the Infinity Blue Cocktail Bar, which sits alongside the Infinity Blue restaurant, you can enjoy refreshing cocktails, tropical juices and afternoon snacks with the sand between your toes and a breathtaking view of the beach and waters of the Indian Ocean. The zen-like lounge bar Zenzibar has views over pools and to the lagoon and is the ideal spot for a pre or post-dinner drink
Spa & wellness
Children between the ages of 2 and 11 are made very welcome at the Timomo & Friends children’s club. The club is open each day from 8:30am to 11:30pm and youngsters can join in the various activities which include fishing for crabs, dressing up, arts and crafts and playing in the swimming pool. There is also a free baby Timomo club for children from birth to 3 years old, a unique offering on the island.
Teenagers can partake in a number of fun activities and excursions including horseriding, pitch and putt golf and mountain bike rides.
What’s nearby? The resort is on Mauritius’ southern coast in the Bel Ombre area, which has some of the best beaches on the island. It’s less than a five-minute drive from the hotel to the pretty village centre, and the dive sites around these parts are superb.
Tried and tested Family experiences in the neighbouring nature reserve include picnics under the tree canopy and wildlife trails with a local expert*. Alternatively, head for the UNESCO-protected Biosphere Bel Ombre and explore in a guide-driven 4x4*.

Deluxe Rooms come with garden or sea views, and there’s a beachfront option with direct access to the resort’s sandy beach.
