Restaurants & bars

The main buffet restaurant La Citronnelle is open for breakfast and for themed evening buffets in a relaxed atmosphere. A series of open kitchens allow guests to see the chefs creating dishes with different international influences. For fine dining and delicious gourmet cuisine reserve a table at the Blue Penny Cellar à la carte restaurant. Here European dishes are infused with the exotic flavours of Mauritius and can be enjoyed alongside a glass or two of wine chosen from the extensive collection found in the resort’s wine cellar. The secluded beachside restaurant and bar La Spiaggia serves simple yet delicious dinners.

Overlooking the Legend golf course is the Deer Hunter restaurant where light lunches and traditional Mauritian dinners are served in an open-air setting. The Swing features a terrace that overlooks the fairways of the Links’ golf course. Here you can enjoy light and healthy dishes or a sunset cocktail. Open for lunch are the beachside snack and seafood restaurant Indigo and the laid-back salad bar and grill LAKAZE. Five bars include the peaceful Cocktail Bar, the al fresco The Blu Bar and the elegant Spiaggia Bar. Those making the most of the free golf can enjoy a pre or post-round drink at the Deer Hunter Bar or The Swing Bar.

For Children

What’s nearby? The resort sits on a spectacular mile-and-a-half-long beach on Mauritius's palm-flecked east coast. It’s about a 15-minute drive away from Flacq Market, the largest open-air market on the island. There are two 18- hole championship golf courses* at the resort, too.

Tried and tested Gather the whole family for a glass-bottom boat trip* over the reef and see how many different tropical fish you can spot. If you want to try something new, take a family golf lesson* or cooking class*.

The sleeping arrangements Constance Belle Mare Plage has a collection of stylish thatched rooms, suites and villas. Prestige Rooms sleep families of three, with views of the pool or gardens – or you can opt for a Prestige Beachfront Room. For more space and incredible sea views, choose a Junior Suite or Junior Suite Beachfront, just a few steps from the ocean. For larger families, we recommend a stunning Two or Three Bedroom Pool Villa. As well as a private pool, you'll have your own living room, dining area, kitchenette, en suite bedrooms, a Playstation or Nintendo Wii, and a personal villa master who'll be on hand throughout your stay.

Certified divers can choose from a variety of dive excursions while beginners can try out diving in the pool and decide whether they wish to take a PADI diving course during their stay here. Group and private expeditions can be arranged to a variety of sites off the island’s north, west and south east coasts.
