Fabulous boutique hotel in the heart of old Valletta
We were very fortunate to have been ungraded to this hotel from its sister one, AX St John. It is a beautifully decorated boutique hotel with lots of history and character. The hotel is located in the heart of the old town of Valletta amidst all the history and beautiful buildings all within a very short walk. Hotel staff were very professional, friendly and helpful. Our room was very large and comfortable with all the usual comforts that you would expect. The breakfasts were amazing and the hotel also has a rooftop bar with chairs, sun loungers and plunge pool all with fabulous views. Sadly, we were unable to eat at their Michelin star restaurant as it was fully booked so I would recommend making a reservation as soon as you book. We would highly recommend staying here and will most likely return to it in the future.
City centre hotel
The location of the hotel is perfect, making everything in Valletta within walking distance. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff at this hotel, Particular mention goes to Irina Davydova who arranged several things for us and Paul Cassar who made special coffee each day for one of our party. The food is excellent and we were lucky to dine at Under Grain one evening, their Michelin stared restaurant. This was superb and highly recommended but ensure you book well in advance! The rooms are spacious and well appointed and the showers are wonderful. I can Highly recommend this hotel
5* hotel and service
We had the pleasure of staying at the Rosselli for just under a week and I must say the attention to detail, character and especially the service was the best I have experienced. We stayed in room 303, a beautiful U shaped room taking up a corner of the hotel, which was impeccably decorated and had two small windows overlooking the bustling streets below. The entire hotel gives the feel of true luxury and also benefits from a rooftop terrace with a bar and a small swimming pool (the only in Valletta I understand). The hotel itself is wonderfully situated, at the end of the main pedestrianised street in the heart of Valletta - it means that you are right at the heart of everything, without being surrounded by other restaurants and bars. What really stood out for us was the level of service however - Moul and his team couldn't do enough to provide a level of service we have yet to receive from anywhere else - the girls and guys on the 24 hr reception provide a real concierge service, the room attendants are thorough but unassuming and the staff on the breakfast service and roof top bar are attentive and friendly. We will definitely return, thank you! Mark and Anthony.
One of the all time best
The Rosselli Hotel in Valletta is most probably one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in anywhere in the world. We have stayed for 11 nights in this exquisite five star hotel in the centre of the historic city. The suite was of the highest standards. The hotel interior faultless with a 'silent' grandness. The Michelin starred restaurant the best. The food were very special. We loved the sommelier. She deserves a special mention. She was so knowledgeable and introduced us to superb Maltese wines. Her choices were spot on and her style so mature and professional. And then the hotel staff. They have made our stay more than special here at Rosselli and I wish I could remember all of there names. It is not possible to single anyone out as they were all good, friendly, helpful and professional. Irina and her front of house team always prepared to assist with booking restaurants advising us on the good places to visit, Alan at the rooftop bar and swimming pool, the housekeeping team, thanks for making our stay memorable and you've ensured that we'll be back in Malta, at the Rosselli, very soon.
Wonderful hotel, ideally located
Valletta is a wonderful city to visit, but it is made all the more enjoyable if one has the opportunity to stay at the Rosselli. The hotel is ideally located in the old town one block from the Grand Masters Palace, The friendly staff go out of their way to assist guests, nothing seems too much trouble. The rooms are spotless with nightly turndown service, and replenishment of coffee and water. Breakfast is substantial with full English prepared to order. After a day sightseeing, a relaxing drink at the rooftop bar with views over the city and Mediterranean rounds off a perfect day in a perfect hotel. We will certainly recommend this hotel to friends and look forward to staying here again.
