If you opt for a Rasa Wing Room, you can choose to dine either here or enjoy an à la carte breakfast at the Feringgi Grill. The Feringgi Bar is open throughout the evening and is an idyllic spot for pre or post-dinner drinks. For an al fresco lunch or dinner, head to the poolside Pinang Restaurant and Bar, which serves light meals and drinks and has views out over the sea and a daily happy hour. At the Fun, Interactive, Play Lounge (FIP), chill out and enjoy the laid-back ambience.

The relaxing CHI, The Spa is set amidst tranquil gardens beside the ocean. Unwind in one of 11 spa villas or the yoga pavilion. Therapies at the spa include: massages, body scrubs, body wraps and facials.

There is a daily programme of activities including water volleyball, heritage walks and even coconut leaf origami. The Batu Ferringi night markets are just a short stroll from the resort.

As well as three swimming pools, the resort is set directly on Batu Ferringi beach where there are plenty of watersports.

Shangri-La Rasa Sayang is involved in turtle conservation and guests can learn more at the on site Eco Centre. They also support a children's home association, with staff volunteering and sharing their skills to improve the quality of the children and their carers.

Families are welcome at Rasa Sayang. There is a dedicated Adventure Zone - an air-conditioned area with slides, play equipment, toddler area and kids' club. The children's swimming pool is located in the garden wing. There are daily age-specific activities including golf putting competitions, kite flying, cooking demonstrations and jungle walks.

Cool Zone Kids' Club: Open from 9:30am to 9pm daily, the kids' club is complimentary for children aged between 5 and 12 years old. Fun activities include traditional Malaysian games, a Little Chef session, kite flying, pool games, sand sculpture, story telling sessions and much more.

As well as a practice green there is a nine-hole pitch and putt golf course.
