The waning magic at the majestic
We had always loved weekend staycations at the Majestic. Our recent trip over a birthday weekend for my husband fell far from our expectations. The queue at the reception was too long. Our suite was spacious and lovely but Our kids’ room was at the other end of the floor, about 10 rooms away from our suite so we had to cancel it and they bunked in with us. Food including the afternoon tea was good but it can be better
Top notch service
Was here for a business convention, the service of the hotel is top notch, friendly services from all the staff throughout my stay. Room are lovely and the bed are super comfortable! Breakfast is good!
We stayed in the old wing with club level and concierge service. The club lounge is scarce only offering some candys and soft drinks Our room was extremely LOUD in the evening. It sounded like furniture was being moved above us. My mother was unable to sleep for two nights and had terrible migranes as a result. We decided we needed to check out a day early and were offered zero compensation. was told that beacuse paid through travel agent there is NOTHING they can do.
Positive: Big room, Clean and neat, Friendly staff, Comfy Bed & pillow, Area to improve: - vateity of breakfast, - front desk staff lack of knowledge. - carpark could be complimentary for in-house guests. - inroom menu is very limited.
Very modern but still with 1930's style. Breakfast is varied but expensive if you don't eat a lot. If you like walking good location but you need to get a lot of taxi's if you want to go out on an evening.
