Ornate rooms sit around the outdoor pool, and the small poolside spa offers a selection of soothing treatments.

Le Vetiver Café is in tranquil gardens with a wooden decked main pool and warm rosewood furnishings, sheltered by a canopy and the perfect al fresco dining experience. Choose from a selection of delicious meat, seafood and vegetables and then grill them to your liking at Sindad: Lao BBQ & Hot Pot which also offers a steaming hotpot and selection of wines to complement your dishes. Enjoy all-day energising cocktails and  beverages at Mouhot's bar.

Don't miss the chance to dine on the Mekong aboard the Nava Mekong, a traditional river cruise boat. Embark at 10.30am for a four-hour lunch cruise that stops at the Pak Ou Caves, renowned for the collection of 4000 Buddhist statues and images that can be found in the limestone grottos. Every evening, the cruise embarks at 5.30pm and journeys downstream to moor at a traditional village. Enjoy performances from local dancers before returning at 9pm.
