I live in Nairobi and visited the Tented Camp with a family member who had come to visit over the Christmas period and my kids. We had an absolutely lovely weekend. It's hard to believe you are just a short drive from the bustling city as the camp feels remote. Our tents were beautiful. Although it rained in the evening so we couldn't have a bonfire, my kids had a lovely evening playing around the camp whilat us adults relaxed with a drink. We went on the morning safari and it was fantasti - we saw everything we could wish for - lions (really close!), giraffes, zebra, hippos, rhino, ostriches, a small cat, and lots of deer. The food in the camp was really good too, my only slight gripe being I would have liked the option of a more local menu. Breakfast was supurb. Finally the staff were amazing - from the welcome we got, to the food, to our driver-guide on the safari. All in all, we felt like we'd had a wilderness break - all within an hour of home! I would highly recommend it. We will definitely go again next time we have visitors.
More than a vacation but and experience
The Nairobi Tented Camp is an exemplary experience of the possibility of economic growth through environmental sustainability as the primary goal. In an era where the thirst for economic growth is at the detriment of biodiversity, perfect case studies such as the Nairobi Tented Camp is needed as proof that Sustainable Development is an achievable goal.
Outstanding service, beautiful Camp … highly recommended
Just had a one night girls trip to this camp. Outstanding service, the manager Joseph made time to call in the morning to ensure we know our way to the camp. The camp is small, comfortable and the staff are excellent. Each staff member made an effort to ensure we had what we needed. Hosted a yoga class too! Rooms are spacious, clean and eco friendly. Love this place would recommend this to all.
5 star service and the real safari experience within minutes of central Nairobi. Yes!
5 star service with the wildlife around the camp that you'd expect from a Kenyan game park. The staff is carefully attentive to the latest COVID sanitation and safety guidelines, and it still feels like a special excursion into the heart of the wild. You will not be disappointed.
The perfection of staying at Nairobi Tented Camp.
NTC is a gem, hidden in the forest part of the incomparable Nairobi National Park. Staying a night means you can be the first out at sunrise and the last in at sunset, when you have the best chance of seeing lions, rhino and even a leopard. The tents are spacious and very comfortable, the staff charming and helpful, bucket showers, great food. Even a 24 hour visit feels like you have had a real break. I was in the park and on my way to the camp, half an hour from work. 9 lions later, a glass of wine in hand on the deck of my tent, I could have been a million miles away from anything.
