Our Kenya adventure
We visited Kenya for safari trips and went through game watchers safari tours. We landed in Nairobi and were greeted by the staff from game watchers for a tour and took us to our hotel. We had a wonderful day then next morning headed to Nairobi tent camp. It was incredible advent. The tents were huge comfortable and the staff wonderful. It’s amazing that this beautiful park is right in the middle of Nairobi. You forget that the minute you enter the park. Being our first time ever we were in awe of all the animals birds and generally the landscape itself. We were thrilled to see a mama rhino with her baby off in the distance only to have ten minutes later have three rhinos walk right in front of our Jeep. We were never afraid and got some wonderful memories to go with our pictures. The meals were excellent and gin and tonics refreshing. They made sure we got to our next flight to continue on to our next camp. Game watchers made sure we never had a thing to worry about!! Highly recommend them if this is the adventure your looking for!!
Good start to our safari
We stayed 2 nights in mid February, and were the only guests. It was a good start to our 11 night safari. Arrived late in the evening, driven to the park gate and there met by our guide Gordon. Next day he found both White Rhinos (family of 4) and Black Rhinos (2 adults, one young) on our game drive. A first for us. Gordon was a very good guide in all ways. The roads were quite rough due to the excessive rains in past months, but he was careful. Sammie looked after us in our tent, Amos and Dickson served our meals. Refillable water bottles were provided. The food was quite good, portions quite large! We asked Amos to request smaller portions for our dinner (after a very large lunch). Apologies to the chef, as I am sure he did not like seeing leftovers on the lunch plates. This park is unusual in that it is so close to the city, and we have photos of the Rhinos with the city buildings in the background. All in all, a good experience and we would recommend it to all.
We returned yesterday following a two week Safari in Kenya finishing off the last two days at this amazing eco camp It had been a hectic tour with Somak and this was to be our R&R Wow ftom The minute we arrived we were spoilt Gordon Our jeep driver was amazing He’s knowledge of animals and birds Food freshly cooked Could happily have said another week
No better way to start a safari in Kenya
This our second stay here and was just as good as ever. 30 minutes from the airport and you straight into the bush. The game viewing is very good. the staff are wonderful and looked after us very well. The camp is set in a secluded forest area. The tents are spacious ,comfortable with everything you need.,Lovely to spend our first night in Kenya around a camp fire drinking a Tusker beer looking up and the wonderful night sky.
A great getaway from the city
This is a safe secluded camp in nairobi national park and so close to nairobi city. We stayed for 2 nights after flying in from the uk. It was a perfect way to relax and unwind after a very busy few weeks. We had 2 excellent game drives in the park, seeing lions, white rhinos, zebras, impala, giraffe, hippos and water buffalo and many birds. The staff are very good and the food delicious.
