Sweetwaters Camp - Ol Pejeta
We enjoyed an enthralling 2-night stay at Sweetwaters Camp and loved every minute of it. The camp itself is clean with a complement of friendly staff and stunning natural beauty. The accommodation was spotless and achieves a perfect balance of safari-style adventure with comfort and cleanliness. The hot water bottles delivered to our tent each night was a particularly lovely touch. The proximity of the watering hole to the accommodation tents, and communal areas (swimming pool and dining hall) enables guests to observe all manner of wildlife at relatively close proximity throughout the day. Meal times were also enjoyable - waiter service was very attentive and food exceeded expectations in terms of variety and quality. The small gift shop has a range of safari-related ware and is reasonably priced. Regarding the safari drives, Ol Pejeta conservancy is absolutely stunning, with beautiful scenery and a plethora of wildlife. We saw a wide range of animals including Elephants, Giraffe, Zebra, Lions, all manner of grazing species and birds. The chimpanzee and rhino sanctuaries are also worth a visit. Early morning and late afternoon/early evening drives are particularly highly recommended. Overall a wonderful location and unrivalled safari experience for reasonable prices - I would unreservedly recommended Sweetwaters Camp and Ol Pejeta Conservancy and would not hesitate to visit again.
Best Luxurious Stay
The first day we arrived we were automatically greeted with freshly squeezed juice and a hot towel. (Which is always the best) Our tent was clean, neat, and our view was the amazing waterhole. The food was fantastic and Dennis was an excellent waiter. We were very pleased with our stay. I would definitely come back and recommend to anyone!
Luxurious lodge in great spot
When you arrive at this camp, you are immediately struck by the luxurious atmosphere in reception, lobby and bar area’s. All built on a large scale, with comfy seats everywhere. Restaurant has lavish buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Friendly waiters. We had a standard tent. But this is still quite a big room, with beds, desk and seating area. At the end a part with stone walls, housing: shelves & clothes rails, handbasin with shower cubicle to one side, toilet cubicle on the other side. Water and electricity available at all times, as is very good wifi. We were lucky, with a front row tent overlooking the watering hole where lots of animals come.
Stayed for 1 night to break journey between Nakuru and Samburu. Stayed here before so knew it would be great. Food and wheelchair accomodation superb as ever. Well situated for the conservancy viewing
