• Mugie Conservancy provides a key wildlife route between the Laikipia plateau, the Mathews Range and the Samburu lands.
• Innovative community grazing and livestock trading programmes based on shared resources have involved the local community as stakeholders in the conservation of Mugie.
• Mugie supports animal research with the collaring and data collection of a cheetah and two lions. Guests can track these animals and hear about the important research programme from their guide.
• There’s also an anti-poaching unit, where guests can experience a tracking demonstration with the bloodhounds and anti-poaching team.
