Mount Kenya & The Aberdares holiday highlights

Take a canopy walk in the Ngare Ndare forest, experience the thrill of near-private game drives, horse ride out on the open plains and dine under the stars or along the River Likii. As you ascend the mountain landscape you’ll discover a unique ecosystem where tropical and bamboo forest house eagles, purple-throated cuckooshrike, green-backed heron and lammergeier vultures.

At the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, meet endangered chimpanzees and discover the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa which also looks after the last two northern white rhino in the world. Nearby Lewa Wildlife Conservancy is home to nearly 200 rhino and remains dedicated to the education and conservation of endangered species. Here you’ll find the Grevys’ Zebra, migratory elephants and resident lions. The conservancy has even built a tunnel so migrating elephants can safely cross the main road.
