Fantastic from start to finish
Spent 4 nights here last month and it was incredible. The camp is amazing from the organisation of the meals and the activities to the very comfy tents. The hot water bottles placed in the beds at night n the coffee n hot chocolate for the wake up calls are lovely touches. The food is outstanding and the staff are very friendly and go out of the way to help. Our driver was Dennis and he made our trip. He was friendly and knowledgeable and under his care we saw everything we wanted. Do the picnic breakfast, so exciting to be out in the company of a nosey giraffe whilst you’re having a coffee! Dennis was so patient with us and his love of the animals is infectious - it was our first safari and he made it special. As well as Dennis a special shout out to Duncan, John, Bonface, Tom, David n Daniel. If you’re thinking of a safari trip you can’t do better that this. Jambo xx
Awesome experience with these great people.
We stayed at the Mara Intrepids for 8 nights. The tents are well equipped with lots of room and not too close to others. Hot and cold running water with a toilet, more like a hotel room than a tent. The tents are covered with a heavy duty canopy to keep any rain or sunshine off. All the tents are in the wooded area so nice and cool during the hot days. The staff are very welcoming and genuinely want you to have a great time. The safari's out into the reserve are fun and exciting, our guide was Silas, he was very accommodating with our wishes and very knowledgeable about all the animals, birds and flowers of which there were many. He knew we were keep photographers so when we wanted to stop for a picture he would park to give us the best angle and view, we stopped many times for animals, flowers, birds and much more. we saw everything we wanted to and more. The food is excellent, we chose to have the packed breakfast as we wanted to stay out in the reserve as much as we could, we stopped at many beautiful hideouts and stood around the bonnet eating a very well stocked box of goodies. A chance to stretch our legs and discuss the mornings adventure. We returned to the camp site at mid-day to get lunch and keep out of the full sunshine like all the animals do, suitably refreshed we set of back out at 3.30 to catch the wildlife getting their evening meal. Some of the sunsets were just perfect. There is plenty to do at the camp if you want a chill for a day/afternoon/morning and lots of activities each evening if you wish to partake. We had a bush breakfast with tables and a chef in the tree lined river bank, just excellent. Every member of staff, the managers, waiters, chef's, gardeners, office or Guides were genuinely please to see us and to ensure we had everything we needed to have the greatest of times, no request was too much. A smiling face with a wave for us or just a 'Jambo' hello as we passed. The Land-rover vehicles are perfect for this terrain and were thoroughly put through their paces, with a maximum of 4 per vehicle there was plenty of room for us and another couple to enjoy all that Africa has to offer, if you have a larger family you could have more if you wanted to. This was a special holiday for my wife and I, our expectations were high and the Mara Intrepids experience exceeded them greatly. I would certainly recommend this as a safari holiday, not sure you could get nay better anywhere else.
Excellent weekend in the Masai Mara
This was our first time at Mara Intrepids, although we have visited several hotels and lodges in Masai Mara over the past 25+ years. The standard of the accommodation (luxury tents) and food are excellent (thank you Chef Evans). However, the stand-out feature for us was the friendly and attentive staff who together made our stay such an enjoyable one. Special mention to Daisy, Boniface and Cleo and to our safari guide Dominic. Early morning coffee and biscuits brought to the tent was a highlight. We saw great wildlife including many lions, leopard, cheetah, elephant, etc, etc. Mara Intrepids is highly recommended by us. Anna, Melanie & John
Best Stay in Maasai Mara
Went on a girls trip to Maasai Mara and I'm so glad we got to stay here after an initial reservation to a different camp fell through. I have been to a couple of safaris but the location, hospitality and the food was outstanding. Every single meal was so tasty and quality was always consistent. What made it special was truly the people we met. It was clear that everyone working here loved their job. Shout out to Bonface for making sure we had everything we needed and for organizing a wonderful surprise bday for my friend. Cleo our server and the chefs Lawrence and Evans who greeted us with pure joy every meal time. I cannot forget Daisy, Mary, Jasper and every single person who made out visit so memorable. I look forward to taking my family on my next visit.
Beutiful place, Excellent personal and safari guide
Nice tent with a fantatic view to the River. Very friendly and service minded personal. This goes for cleaning, restaurant and other services (help for wheel chair). We loved every minute and our safari guide Reuben and his trainee Chris both did a fantastic job giving us breath taking moments at the savannah. We can only give our warmest recommendations to visit this amazing place :-)
