We had a room on upper floor with view. It was renovated and nicely decorated. A large room and a large bathroom , really very clean. A place to relax. The hotel has its own parking (it is a little bit expensive). Breakfast was very good. The staff was polite and helpful. I think it was the best room of our long trip in Italy! The hotel is not far from the historic center.
One night stop on a looonnnnggg road trip. Turned in to a good stop over. Car park for the car (yes it’s chargeable, so is parking on the road in most places). Lovely reception team. Warm. Helpful. Smiling. They also made a good recommendation for dinner. Room was decent with a good size bed and bathroom. Great spread at breakfast. It’s a buffet but that suits me. Anything bad?? I suppose the pillow was a bit hard for me, but I expect if I could have been bothered to ask, they would have swapped it. All in all, a good stop over. A step up from the usual budget European hotels.
Excellent walking distance from train station and city center
My wife and I recently spent 4 days in Italy, 2 in Rome and 2 in Verona. In both cases I looked for hotels that were a good walking distance from both the city center and the local train station (in Verona, Verona Porto Nuovo). For us in Verona, Hotel Giberti was the perfect location. It's a short walk from the trains, then a short walk from the coliseum/arena and surrounding tourist attractions. The hotel was clean, very well run and the included breakfast was *wonderful*. Lunch and dinner was spent in town at various restaurants.
Stayed here after checking out from Venice during the flooding. Check in was the quickest we have had in our entire stay in Italy. We only booked this one hour prior on the train - yet they were expecting us. Great service, modern room, great location. Breakfast nice. Rooms quiet. The only complaint - awful hard pillows!!
Walking distance from tourist areas
This is lovely hotel, located about a 15 minute walk from the collosseum and shopping areas. I had room 506 - directly across from elevators. I was expecting it to be noisy, but it wasn’t too bad. The room is large and comfortable with a king size bed and a small round table with two chairs. It has a street view. I think the bed’s mattress is made of memory foam, which I did not find comfortable. There is a coffee/tea set up. The bathroom is well-equipped and towels are large and bright white. It might be helpful to bring your own bar of soap, as the one provided is quite small. Reception staff is helpful and friendly and directed me to a nail spa open on Mondays. The buffet breakfast is excellent with lots of protein and the coffee machine makes any kind of coffee anyone would desire. Wi-fi in my room was surprisingly slow and unstable even at 5am and as late as midnight. Others reported stable wi-fi.
