Sina Palazzo Sant'Angelo

Picture-perfect noble retreat

A boutique hotel with a private pier on the Grand Canal.

This former nobleman’s palace has been carefully restored and converted into a charming hotel with just 26 rooms. This sensitive reinvention has allowed the hotel to retain the feel of an elegant and comfortable private residence. It is set between the Ponte di Rialto and the Ponte dell’Accademia and has a private pier on the Grand Canal – imagine arriving in style by water. The inviting breakfast room combines original wood panelling with silk wall coverings and big picture windows overlooking a canal. The cosy lounge overlooks the Grand Canal and is perfectly placed for watching life on the water while sipping a cocktail.

Why we love Sina Palazzo Sant'Angelo

  • The location could hardly be better: right on the Grand Canal, not far from the Rialto bridge and 10 minutes from St Mark’s Square

  • If you’ve treated yourself to a water taxi transfer from the airport, the hotel has its own private pier so you can arrive in style

  • You can start the day with breakfast in a leafy courtyard garden and kick off the evening with drinks beside the Grand Canal

  • There are just 26 gorgeous rooms and suites, with high ceilings and plush Venetian décor that evokes the palazzo’s noble past
