Set in ancient wine cellars with vaulted ceilings, the spa offers indulgent therapies inspired by local ingredients including rosemary, grapes, honey and olive oil. There are seven treatment rooms and a couple’s treatment suite with deep soaking tub and shower, pools, steam rooms and secluded gardens. Also in the vaults you will find the fitness centre with state-of-the-art equipment.

Hike and bike on the estate's trails, go truffle hunting visit a secluded Etruscan tomb site to learn about this ancient civilisation or go stargazing with an expert guide – the castle is far away from light pollution so the stars are amazing.

There are children’s menus and highchairs in the restaurants and babysitting service on request. Activities include horseback riding, painting classes and cookery lessons, and a Kids' Club has a small animal farm, vegetable gardens and a playground.

A tourist tax is payable at the hotel.
