It was perfect in every way. Magical. You will not be disappointed. Family owned, charming but enormous and grand. Views are breathtaking and the service and staff are exceptional. It feels like you are the most welcomed guest in someone’s beautiful home. Francesco is the general manager but also the owner’s son and he greeted us at the door. He is warm and incredibly personable. He will make you feel special.
Breathtaking, tear-inducing views
My husband just about cried when we arrived here on our honeymoon. The view is absolutely breathtaking and quite unlike any other view we had during our two week honeymoon in Greece and Italy. We stayed for two nights before heading to Positano, and in my opinion, it was the perfect amount of time. The hotel is located way up on the side of the mountain, and there’s enough to keep your entertained that you wouldn’t actually need to leave if you didn’t want to. Service here was impeccable. Almost everyone we interacted with went out of their way to to make sure that we had an enjoyable experience. The owner also personally introduces himself to guests, which I think is a very nice touch. I’ll mention the two minor issues we had here, because I like to end every review on a positive note. The first is that our bed wasn’t a true king, but was actually two twins pushed together, so my husband and I found ourselves falling into the crack between the two mattresses a lot. I think this is more reflective of Europe than the hotel itself as friends have mentioned this is quite commonplace. Second, we had splurged for a dinner on the private balcony which was romantic and had a beautiful view, but our dedicated server made us feel a little uncomfortable once I told him about my fish allergy. We are generally very easy patrons and will eat anything and everything and never ask for substitutions except in the case of fish because I simply cannot eat it. In the cases of pre-fixe menus, I tell the server about my allergy and they always kindly substitute a fish dish with something else or just remove the protein. However, once I told the waiter about my allergy, his whole demeanor changed and he was a little stand-offish for the rest of the night and we couldn’t quite figure out why. Our best guess was he was annoyed at us because he got pressure from the kitchen. Put a slight damper on the evening as we were wondering what we could have done to offend him. On a much more positive note, the double infinity pool here is to die for. It was absolutely our favorite pool by far. The pool staff was so accommodating and made sure we were satisfied with our drinks. We spent most of our time reading and tanning by the pool. The view was simply stunning and the water so calm and clear. The property also has its own garden, which is open to guests. My husband and I had a great time walking through and taking a look at all the produce they grow. A truly spectacular addition to an already amazing property as they use a lot of the ingredients they grow on site in their food. The food itself left nothing to be desired. We didn’t have a single bad dish here. Sunset is beautiful from here. We stayed in one of the junior suites, so we were able to sit on our balcony and watch the sun fall both nights. It was really peaceful and the perfect end to each day. Overall, we were very glad to have splurged on this hotel as it was a one-of-a-kind experience and hope to be back one day!
Wonderful hotel and stay
We stayed here for 2 nights in our honeymoon and it was the highlight of our trip. The hotel is incredible with stunning views, a brilliant pool area and lovely rooms. The staff are really friendly and helpful and the owners are often around chatting to people and making sure everything is right. The location is great and it's a short walk into town where there are some lovely restaurants and breakfast was good and varied. All in all we couldn't fault it and it's a hotel we would love to return to again in the future.
This hotel is in perhaps the most spectacular location possible, perched on the edge of a giant cliff overlooking the entire Bay of Naples, and located on the gorgeous island of Capri. The hotel is a historic villa and boasts a first class restaurant as well as a multi-acre garden of fruits and vegetables which are directly harvested for use in the restaurant’s kitchen. We happened to receive a special room upgrade on arrival but the stay would have been terrific in whatever room we would have been assigned. The staff was gracious and attentive (hats off to Giada) and there is a gorgeous swimming pool, a steam room and a gym area as well as a wellness spa. You won’t regret or forget your stay here.
Great staff, beautiful hotel, walking distance to shopping, chairlift and close to the blue grotto. Amazing stay here! The daily breakfast is was very good with many selections. We had a few issues with noise the first few nights in our room but they graciously moved us to another room. We loved walking around the property and seeing all the gardens. This place is kept in pristine condition. I wish they provided irons in rooms.
