Beautiful hotel with some disappointments
We spent our 10 days vacation in this hotel. Advantages: - Territory and location is really amazing and beautiful. - There are 2 swimming pools (one of them consists of 3 actually), so even when hotel is fully booked there are not too much people on swimming pools. - Service in the restaurant is fast, sometimes you have to wait for the menu, but when you order they bring you the food in 5-10 min. - Perfect cleaning service. - Most of the hotel stuff were friendly. Everyone speaks English very well. Disadvantages: - The man at the reception was absolutely unhelpful being not able to advice us how to get to the nearest supermarket or shop to buy fruits and some place or beach to visit. - We booked SUITE which includes 2 rooms for 285 euro per night and we've got an attic almost without windows (just a few of small ones, but you cannot look on it, there is a wall). There is no space where you can put your stuff, no shelfs in the wardrobe, only few hangers. It is not enough when you are a family of 3 people. The light in the toilet and the jalousie on the roof windlows didn't work. Also if you travel with a child don't think you will put him/her to sleep and spend your time in the second room drinking wine, as the bedroom is big and there is TV, waredrobe etc on it, and the second room is just a small anteroom with a bed. You don't want to spend your evenings there while your child is speeping in the big room. When we asked if they have any other suites (we were ready to pay extra for the upgrade), they offered us executive room with free upgrade telling us that it is very big room for 5 persons and garden, but it has 1 room, not 2. We agreed that the next day at around 11 the lady at the reception shows us this executive room. At 11 they called us to the room and told that we should prepare our room right now, as actually check out should have been done till 11. But they didn't know when our new room would be ready. And when we moved there we were disappointed, as in fact it is not so big at all. I checked the price - "free upgrade" meant that this room was more expensive for 90 euro for 10 days, so in fact we changed 2 rooms apartments to 1 room. - Kinds playground is in very bad condition. - We tryed almost everything in the restaurant and we didn't like the cuisine. You can find much better restaurants with the same prices not far from the hotel, but with much better quality. - Breakfast is ok when you stay for a couple of nights, otherwise be ready to order something from the menu and pay for it: there is not a big choise and almost the same in the breakfast included to the room price, other dishes as porrige or omelete are not for free.

The most romantic place on the Frassino lake
Romantic, clean, friendly staff. The exernal pools are amaizing. There is a special atmosphere full of history, but at the same time everything looks very ecological. The restaurant has a beatifull- romantic view of the lake.
A perfect location away from the buzz
We booked a deluxe room with view at lake Frassino and we got a room in the building next to the restaurant. We had a room on the groundfloor and had our own little garden next to the swimming pool (the new swimming pool, the quiet one). Easy for us, walk out the room in to the swimming pool. The room itself was very spacious with some antique furniture. There was also a large bathroom with a huge walk in shower and a separate toilet. The light in the bathroom could be a little more intense and the bathroom's sink furniture could be a litte bit larger so it's easier to put your things there but those are just minor details. Wiffi is good. Rooms were cleaned every day by very friendly staff. Actually all staff is very friendly, they all speak different languages and they help you whenever it's needed. As we had booked half board we had a 3 course dinner every evening, there's a good choice of dishes to choose from. Drinks in the restaurant aren't expensive and they have a good selection of wines. One of the waitresses, Georgie was very kind and said hello every time she was working. The restaurant can be very busy as much Italian people choose to eat here as well so it is always possible you have to wait a little longer, but hey, since you're on holiday, that's no problem. There's also a kind of head waiter who takes you're orders and I think he ran a marathon every shift he worked, but always with a smile and always friendly. Dining with view on the lake Frassino is magnificent. Everey weekend there are some weddings and that also means that there are fresh flowers on the table ! Breakfast is also in the same restaurant and there is a wide variety to choose from. If you have a special request, you can order it,. At the main swimming pool there's also a bar and you can have a light lunch there as well. Both swimming pools are not heated. The hotel also has a spa but we didn't use it so I can't review it. For those who want to explore the area and don't like to take the car, you can rent bicycles at the hotel. There is als a walking trail around the lake that starts at the hotel. The whole resort is very cosy and all the small details make it look exceptional. Cars can be parked at the hotel grounds and if you bring your own bike there is a building you can use. You can walk to the city centre of Peschiera but it will take you about 30 minutes to get there so take a bike instead. In the city centre you can rent a boat to explore lake Garda or you can take a ferry to get to some other cities aroud lake Garda. We had a very relaxing vacation and I can recommend Le Ali del Frassino to any one who wants to have a relaxing holiday with good food and kind and friendly staff in a very romantic looking surrounding.
Coffee Abomination & lessons in mediocrity
We booked a junior suite for our anniversary. The room was small but with a nice view. We expected a place to hang our suits/dresses considering that it’s a popular wedding venue but were unable to find anything sufficient. There was only one luggage stand so our other luggage needed to be open on the ground and I’m hoping I don’t bring home any unwanted friends. The breakfast food was super, although the coffee from the coffee machine is an absolute abomination and you’ll have to spend extra money for passable coffee!!! As an American, I really do not expect much when it comes to coffee, but this tasted awful and the milk foam tasted like soapy bubbles. The spa is an absolute joke. The jacuzzi water was lukewarm,at best; and the sauna had gone cold. We had to ask for the sauna to be turned on again although it was a busy cold day. The spa worker at least apologized and was very friendly. The extra spa treatments are nearly impossible to get an appointment. I needed to call multiple people multiple times in order to get through to the spa to make an appointment. The front desk is unwilling to accommodate the request and the spa downstairs did not have anyone physically working there at the desk when we went multiple times on different days. We finally got an appointment made, but will see what happens as it was not an ideal day/time (4 days later from check-in). If I had known it would have been such a hassle, I would have pre-booked appointments or stayed somewhere completely different. The spa/wellness amenities were our main reason for choosing this hotel over others. The restaurant is great with attentive staff and good food. We’ve been lazy and have eaten there each night without any disappointment. They can be rather slow; but it’s often busy so that’s more than understandable. All in all, I would not come back :(
