Set in a beautiful neoclassical villa, offering romantic charm and stunning panoramas of Lake Garda.
Built more than 100 years ago for a wealthy industrialist, the graceful fin-de-siècle Villa del Sogno still feels like a private retreat. Wandering around its elegant rooms, strolling in the verdant nine-acre grounds - complete with neoclassical temples - or lingering on the elevated east-facing terrace, you can still sense what it was like here in those early days. The buildings have been sensitively restored, brought into the 21st-century without losing their character, and new additions such as the pool haven’t been allowed to spoil the exclusive ambience of the place. Even the sun loungers around the swimming pool have been positioned to make the most of the soul-soothing scenery.

Rooms
The 32 rooms and suites are individually decorated in a traditional style using a rich, warm palette, period furniture and oriental rugs. If you don’t mind not being able to see the lake from your accommodation, Standard Mountainside Rooms have views of the densely planted parkland instead. You get a glimpse of the water from the Standard Side Lake View Room, but to appreciate Lake Garda in all its glory it’s worth choosing a Standard Lake View Room or even a Superior Room with Terrace. You can also gaze out at sparkling blue from the windows of the Junior Suite, which has a spacious sitting and dining area.

Breakfast is served on the terrace so you can make the most of the lake views, and you can have lunch, dinner and drinks sitting out here, too, enjoying the scent of roses and citrus blossoms.
Restaurant Maximilian Drink up the lake views over a buffet breakfast, served on the terrace, and return for fine-dining Italian cuisine by candlelight, al fresco or in the old-world interior.
Garden Bar During the day, lighter dishes, such as salads, pasta and fish are served overlooking the pool and the azure waters of Lake Garda.
American Bar As evening falls, the American Bar is the place to head for a cocktail or a glass of Armagnac, accompanied by piano music. The bar also serves an all-day lunch menu.
Dinner at Restaurant Maximilian is an elegant affair. Expect crisp-white linen and soft candlelight as you dine on Italian specialities from Lake Garda.

Tennis is available on the synthetic grass court and there is a gym for those who wish to maintain their fitness regime. Lake Garda has plenty to offer the visitor including the Heller Botanical Gardens, and boat cruises to picturesque lakeside villages.
