Great stay with minor hiccups

We booked this as part of the Coast to Coast package offered. The room given was very very good. A junior suite, big, roomy, spacious. Room amenities are amazing too. Breakfast is buffet style and very very good. The cons: Day 1, the housekeeping at turndown was amazing. Day 2, housekeeping (whoever did our room) basically could not be bothered - housekeeping needs to be consistent as this is the core of a good hotel - as a guest, we pay to stay in a room so if its 5 stars, it has to be 5 stars especially for housekeeping. The Breakfast is very good but the restaurant should consider covering all the pastries and other food items. We saw a huge fly sitting on one of the pastries. As some other reviewers have shared, the room is very high tech but the volume for the tv is too low and even at the highest volume, we have to sit very close to the tv. Air conditioning kept going on and off too and the lights took awhile to figure out. Overall, its a good stay, staff are very friendly and willing to help - especially front desk. But improvements could be made.

A new hotel - worth staying a few days for a trip to Lake Como

Book with the hotel. They have some great offers. We booked the offer for 4 nights - 2 nights here & 2 nights at their sister hotel in Varenna. The first impressions are impressive. Front desk staff are all friendly and try to help the best they can - not sure if we spelt their names correctly- Lorena, Frederica, Michele's, Luca and so on. The room we got was a junior suite, beautifully appointed and designed. The hotel generously provided a nice room with a lake view. Very beautiful. Housekeeping abit of hit & miss - but we expect that will improve as the hotel is still quite new. The restaurant for breakfast provides a wide range of food and the restaurant staff are all courteous and helpful. Dinner was also included in our package at the restaurant and the food was very good. We had access to the spa and pool but the trip was too short to try it. Thank you very much and we will be back.

Words and pictures can not convey the huge sense of satisfaction and happiness that the hospitality experience of this hotel provides. The Grand Hotel Victoria is your perfect destination for a dream vacation on Lake Como. The attention to every little detail is the cordial personal hospitality and warmth of heart that the entire staff provides from the moment you arrive during your entire stay until your departure is simply invaluable. The experience is complemented by, among other things, innovative and sophisticated equipment, an amazing restaurant and an outstanding culinary experience. A pleasant and pampering spa with a dedicated and impressive staff. And above all the personal and endearing attitude that each and every one of the staff gives. What more could you ask for than that.

I do not know where to start…the Service? Impeccable: kindness, youth and professionalism. The location? One the most beautiful piace on earth: elegance, stiyle and beauty. The Hotel? Everything is Perfect!

This hotel far exceeded my expectations and was wonderful in every way. The building is an historic and lovingly restored building connected to a brand new building built in the same style to look seamless. The rooms were well thought-out and designed, from the lighting system to the sound insulation to even the light and pleasant fragrance. The beds are comfortable (a bit on the firm side) and the furnishings are classy and modern. The spa is simply amazing. I’ve never seen a hotel with such a wide variety of spa experiences that are all included in the room rate. From Finnish steam rooms to an ice room. Tropical showers that delight the senses of sound, smell, sight, and touch. Fire rooms and Himalayan salt rooms. That on top of a delightfully warm indoor pool with jacuzzi in the center and a beautiful outdoor pool. Simply amazing. The 1827 restaurant was not yet open for the season. But the dinner service at the Lago Restaurant was great. The fish was a bit too salty, but everything else was wonderful. Breakfast at Lagos was great. A wide variety of sweet and savory breakfast options, and you can also order anything to be made fresh. The people are really what make this hotel shine. The moment we arrived we were warmly greeted by the concierge, Antonio. (Antonio was a constant friendly presence throughout our stay and made us feel very welcomed.) The valet whisked our car away and had our bags waiting for us in our room. The front desk staff were friendly and efficient. And the staff at the spa were incredibly helpful, explaining all of the various parts of the spa and setting everything up. I can’t say enough good things. This hotel deserves more than 5 out of 5 stars. From the owners to the management to the staff, they all are professionals who know what they’re doing. I will be back, hopefully soon!
