Hilton Lake Como
This is the first Hilton to make an appearance in the Lake Como area and sways a little from most in their portfolio, being very design-led and innovative in approach. Steering itself away from the more traditional hotels in the area, the Hilton Lake Como is strikingly modern and in an enviable location adjacent to the Neoclassical Villa Olmo and just a 15 minute-walk from the centre of town. Amenities here are outstanding and the views will take your breath away. The sleek infinity-edged rooftop pool is the pièce de résistance, with views reaching out over the Lake.
In addition, there is a whirlpool and solarium up here and shade seekers will love Terazza 241, a chic all-day dining venue and sky bar offering signature cocktails, delicious sharing platters and informal lunches and evening meals. If you fancy a more formal eatery, Satin – on the ground floor – provides a chance to dress up and dazzle whilst enjoying Southern, Swiss and Valtellina regional cuisine, a wine library, cheese room and the opportunity to interact with the chefs.
The hotel’s fantastic location means you have easy access to treasured sites such as Villa del Balbianello and St. Maria Assunta Cathedral. It’s also worth taking the funicular railway from Como to Brunate for an unforgettable panorama of mountains and lakes. All that fresh air might make you sleepy, but we recommend still finding time to indulge at the full-service spa with its comprehensive treatment menu and plush indoor pool.
Rooms are fresh and modern, with parquet floors, stylish black, white and glass furnishings, floor-to-ceiling windows and Hilton Serenity beds. The Standard Rooms are a comfortable choice with views over the surrounding builings of Como town. The Deluxe Rooms are more spacious and have large floor-to-ceiling windows. Those travelling with younger guests should opt for a Family Room which features a seating area with a sofa bed.
