Perfect location..a great choice.
We have just returned from a three night stay at this hotel. We were delighted with our choice because the location was perfect for all the major sights and because it was away from the hustle of the busier streets. Our room was completely sound proofed and well air conditioned. The bed was very comfortable. There was no view to speak of but after a day of full on Florence it didn't matter. It was a welcome sanctuary after a busy day. We arrived by car and it was valet parked very efficiently. Helpful staff especially at the door.
Still As Pleasant
I returned after my first stay at this hotel in 2015. Front desk service continues to be very professional and helpful. They gladly assisted in making restaurant reservations. As I noted in my first review, I really like the location of this hotel and the rooms are good sized and well equipped. Housekeeping needs a little improvement (as there were a few hair strands in the bathroom and on the bed when I checked in). Although it is beginning to show its age (it would be nice to have USB outlets or easily accessible electrical outlets by the bedside table) -- it continues to be a lovely and pleasant hotel to stay in!
Well Placed Hotel for all the attractions but ........
This hotel is well placed for all the attractions in Florence but it stops about there. Staff on the whole are polite and friendly. Hotel advertised as small boutique hotel but in reality it shares facilities with its sister hotel so breakfast time could be busy and sometimes had to sit on sofas to eat which was uncomfortable. Also, a roof top bar is advertised but is in fact across the road in sister hotel. We had to book a table through reception for which they charge you 35 Euros (you don't know this until you check out) . The service up there was terrible, not enough staff and at nearly 90Euros for 4 drinks I think I would have rather sat road side else where and watched the world go by. I had booked a room with a partial view, and got room 112 which was small dark with a tiny bathroom and looked over the entrance of the hotel not quite what the website advertised I should have asked to be moved but was tied when I arrived, our friends room was better, guess it's luck of the draw!
Not a boutique hotel
The hotel is well located in the middle did the city so less than 10 mins walk to all the main sites of Florence. In the pictures, it looks to have a rooftop terrace, it does not. You have to go to a different hotel in the same group for the rooftop where the staff were SO rude to us. They do not reserve space for hotel guests and basically we’re telling everyone they were fully booked. Instead of managing this at the bottom of the lift where they have a member of staff showing people to the lift in the lobby, they send visitors upstairs for a man to bark at them that they are fully booked at the top. It is the most ridiculous system. Hotel Gallery Art it described as a boutique hotel, it has 70+ rooms so it’s not really a boutique hotel plus breakfast is not a tranquil experience as you have all the other guests from the other hotel coming here to have breakfast. No hot options at breakfast it’s just a continental selection. Room was ok but there was no water and they didn’t bother to replace the toiletries throughout the stay. I wouldn’t really recommend staying here.
No words to define this amazing hotel! The location couldn’t be better: beside Ponte Vecchio and next to the most import touristic attractions and luxury shops. Great staff, super clean and charming rooms, wonderful breakfast... Just crazy to come back!
