We visited this hotel little after peak season of new year. So, it wasn't very crowded. Hotel rooms were very well kept. Service was good and fairly prompt. Restaurant staff was very courteous. Specifically, we got wonderful service from Ravinder and Paritosh. But overall staff was very kind. Breakfast was good. Hotel staff helped to get tuktuk for commute to town.
Looks are deceptive
Realistically a 2.5 star hotel this might have been a good hotel in the past. But through neglect, poor maintenance, and truly ugly uncomfortable rooms that do not match the opulence of the common areas - this hotel is an absolute pass. Hotel staff tries hard to please, but rooms are not clean, very dated and ugly, and amenities are of a poor quality. Very sad.
Only One Thing Was Good
Very disappointed in this hotel. We usually stay at The Gulal and are very satisfied there. I wanted to try something new so booked a suite at For Rajwada. First “suite” was shabby. Asked to change. Second was a little better at first but still did not at all resemble the quality of the suites pictured on the website. Our suite was down at the end of a dark hall which seemed to be used for excess furniture storage. No lights on the whole length of the hall. The room was not comfortable and not well maintained. Furniture placed haphazardly around the room against the walls and hotel book instructs the guest not to move anything. After walking around the stunning hotel and grounds, it amazes me that the quality of our suite was so poor. I cant imagine they dont have better suites and cant understand why they would put us in this location, in this room. Bathroom was dingy, toilet continued to run all night, shower was completely inadequate with fluctuating water temperature. Never any shampoo in the bathroom, yet 4 bottles of lotion instead. For some reason they stopped servicing our mini bar snacks. Really felt less than welcomed. EXCEPT for our wonderful waiter, Mr Parvinder Singh! Mr Singh was excellent every time he served us, both at breakfast and at dinner. His service is flawless and his attitude is very kind and pleasant. In our opinion, being served by Mr Singh excellently was the only thing that saved our stay here.

Good hotel-But everything is quiet old
This hotel is done in the style of a mini fort. This was built in 1999 and it has not been properly redone till now. So all rooms are with an antique style. Plugs, switches mirrors and all accessories used are around 20 year old. Some of the plugs dont work. But it gives you a feel of inside an old fort/palace. They have some evening programs running during 7-9PM(Rajasthani folk dance and songs). Room had room heater (Old type) and it was much needed. They offer a dinner buffet at 1200 plus tax per person. Seemed average to me. Breakfast was good. Staff at the restaurant needs special mention as they are very friendly and helpful. We had two nights here and enjoyed the stay with the weather and their cultural programs. Most staff dont speak english and are very naive. This hotel needs an upgrade on rooms (electrical, bathroom, other facilities ) very urgently to stay in the game for long
