stayed 4 nights here , we had a garden villa room , with what we called an inside/ outside bathroom , in essence all facilities under a roof but the middle of the bathroom was open to the elements .. very unusual, lovely swimming with small pool bar with food, the beach was beautiful ,they do warn you not to get involved with the local children as they will not leave you alone, each afternoon they have the "tea cart" which is fabulous chai tea and banana cake , there are 2 restaurants the main restaurant is either buffet or a la carte we tried both we preferred the a la carte, the other restaurant is a speciality sea food restaurant , which you have to prebook, we had the chefs special and it was delicious ... sea food platter with snapper , there is also the beach shack which provides food but we only had drinks here, our only disappointment was the club house no one in no atmosphere and the man on the bar didnt really appear to know what he was doing, otherwise a fabulous time spent here
Stayed for 2 nights wish it could have been longer. Restaurant food was exceptional, villa beautiful and spacious. Bird watching, butterfly garden, cookery demo, village walk, cycle ride or just doing nothing - spoiled for choice. Staff very helpful and efficient.
Super beach hotel
We stayed 2 nights in a garden pool villa which was simply delightful. Completely secluded with outside table, chairs and sunbeds, and a small but well-maintained pool at a nice temperature. The room was spacious and very comfortable – as was the bathroom (half open to the sky). The beach here is beautiful but the sea was too rough to swim. If you don’t have your own pool or if you want to practice for the Olympics, the main pool looked perfect. Very tasty breakfasts with an amazing wide choice. Good housekeeping, room and restaurant service. We ate both night in the Beach Grill which was really good – super fresh fish. Spent an informative time in the butterfly garden and did the village walk. Great hotel for a few days rest from touring but also perfect for a week or two relaxing.
relaxing stay after tour of kerala
A beautiful hotel on the beach. Very friendly staff - special mention to Arun our naturalist who took us bird spotting and on a butterfly walk. Adulee (probably wrong spelling - apologies) gave us a fabulous evening of cookery tuition at the garden kitchen experience. Wonderful food and cocktails. lovely pool. wake up to sound of the birds.
Beautiful beach and great accommodation
Marari beach is wonderful. It has security staff who ensure that only resort guest use the site and the sand is clean and the sea warm. The sunsets over the sea are spectacular. The lodge accommodation is attractive and well appointed with an outside en-suite, air con and twin beds. (My only complaint would be that the pillows are very hard and weighty). The site is large with a very good restaurant plus a seafood restaurant and a beach bar serving lighter lunches. The pool is surrounded by plenty of sun loungers and has a pool bar which will also serve light meals. Don’t stay without a visit to the fishing village just along the beach. A wonderful experience watching the brightly coloured fishing boats coming in with their catch. Overall a very nice site (shame about the pillows)
