Nature's best to enjoy royal hospitality and best place for kids
Resort Welcomes you like King or Queen with flute music, etc and Smile, calm replies impressed me around the clock.Rooms are comfortable, spacious and royal too, near scenic lake view, pollution free air, smiling people, birds, water sound around with excellent food spread its more than enough for a couple to get hideout. I am super happy on seeing the way they took care of my daughter - Anila from hospitality department, helped with coffee painting, embossed painting, leaf painting, she taught how to make chrismas tree, flower, angel, etc. She took them to butterfly garden helped them to see all stages of butterfly, type same in fish pool and flower garden.when my daughter is playing in sun,she gave her shadow using her saree pullu.Impressed on seeing their way of caring like mom and we left my daughter in her caring and we both had nice time in exploring throughout the resort. We will go there every year .Thanks a lot Anila for caring my kid and making her Birthday super special. Thanks to #ulaah tourism for selecting this resort
Peaceful and Quality Resort - very much in tune with Nature!
My wife and myself are are fast approaching the end of a most enjoyable stay at the Coconut Lagoon Resort located on an Island on Vembanadu Lake in Kumarakom. A most enjoyable experience from start to finish - both of which involves a 15 minute boat journeys to and from the mainland. On arrival, you are greeted by a welcoming party and are quickly checked in and briefed (in our case by Divya) on both the Resort’s layout and the many daily activities. We much enjoyed the Afternoon Tea (delivered by an elderly village lady in a local longboat) as I did the early morning - particularly the sighting of a lovely green Beeater! Accommodation is in spacious Cottages - large bed/living room and outside bathrooms with an excellent standalone shower unit and lots of hot water! There is no TV (not necessary) and my only but slight criticisms being the intermittent WiFI service (and the fact my wife found the Resort Shop to her liking! Nothing, however, compared to the enjoyment derived from reading a book on one’s balcony watching the various Houseboats pass by! On the F&B front, we had Breakfast and Dinner in the main Ettukettu Restaurant - both of which served excellent buffets with a good choice of quality dishes to chose from. Service was also outstanding with nothing being of too much trouble! All in all, this is an excellent resort - one where we would have liked to stay longer but encourage others to do so - certainly, based on our brief experience - they won’t be disappointed!!
Coconut Lagoon had been recommended by friends. We both fell silent as its beauty unfolded during the introduction by staff after we arrived. We were enchanted by the design of the resort, clearly a great deal of thought had gone into the planning as it was brilliantly laid out. The staff were all absolutely charming and helpful. With no exception. We chose a Lakeside Villa with verandas front and back; so we could sit at the front and watch the Kettuvallams glide past and watch the birds, or at the back verandah marvelling at the kingfishers, the turtles, the huge flying foxes ( in midday!) in the wetland lake It seemed that the wildlife were used to people coming and going. I got within 2 ft to a common Indian heron with my camera and it looked as if it would fly off for a second but it didn’t and let me take multiple photos. Oh the butterfly farm ! The Butterflies were so exotic and they seemed to flutter in clusters in the farm. In fact it was almost a swarm. I’ve never seen anything like it before. There is a resident naturalist who was always on hand to explain about their eco system and all the wildlife. We’d completed had an amazing group tour for 2 weeks beforehand which was full on and were needing to relax and Coconut Lagoon was absolutely perfect. The evening we arrived, there was a large group of 25 fellow Brits who had booked the seafood restaurant and live music for their final evening. Its venue was situated 100 or so yards from our villa and I remember thinking that the noise would keep us up until the early hours. How wrong I was! We didn’t hear anything at all. I do hope we can return one day again. Clean, Green and Healthy is the full name of the hotel group who owns the chain. CGH Earth. We LOVED it.
Hospitality at its best
We have a wonderful stay with my friends . Greate land scapes. Beautiful rooms. We have taken 2 heritage bungalows. Both the rooms where facing river. Wonderful staff. We enjoyed the evening sunset cruise. Food was delicious. Special thanks to naturalist who was with us in the morning. He was very informative and we where able to spot many water birds. Thank you each and everyone from the boatmen to the musician. We will visit again
The place is very quiet and relaxing. 2 days are enough unless u want more quietness. The food was ok. I like the women with tea and snacks, i waited for her every day. Meditation with Naveen was the best, he was the highlight of the trip. Though there were alot of insects around and got lots of bites. Sunrise cruise and village experience was really wonderful.
