The hotel is located on Willingdon Island and it is away from the busy areas of the city whether Fort Kochi or MG Road. Infact, the hotel does not have any hustle bustle in its immediate vicinity. On the other hand, the service you receive at the hotel is remarkable and needs special mention. The staff at the hotel are working very hard towards the requests of the guests. The rooms are comfortable, the breakfast at the restaurant is excellent, the pool area is beautiful. The staff behaviour remains the topmost feature of the hotel. A wonderful stay option in Kochi provided the distances to the city attractions don't matter to you.
Trip to Cochin, Trident is a hidden gem
We arrived at the Trident Cochin quite early as we flew in from Dubai. We were welcomed to the front desk by Akshay upon check in, his polite and professional welcoming was amazing after such a long flight. We were travelling in a family and had three rooms booked during our South India tour & stayed in Cochin for a total of 4 nights. Our rooms were always perfect on return from our excursions and well stocked with water, coffee, tea, fresh towels thanks to Ajit and his amazing team. Food - OMG was amazing - anything you can imagine can come from the kitchen. We were very thankful for service and the polite manners from the staff Ishika, Raja, Aarthi, Allen, Pranab, and Vikas who were lead by Sameer. A huge shout out to the Chef Raj Radhakrishnan - his stories of india and how Oberoi/Trident research their menu items were unforgettable. We were delighted to meet Jishnu on the our first morning with Trident Cochin - all this could not have been possible with his guidance. Jishnu is an amazing asset to the Trident/Oberoi group - he is well versed in current events, history, and how to tailor the guest experience to an amazing experience. We have stayed at many Trident properties in the last 2 years with tours of North and South India and we have yet to be disappointed. Definitely will be coming back to this property because they are an extension of our family. Thanks and blessings always from your Canadian family Trident Cochin - we miss you -
It is a beautiful property, but, located far from the main city....close to Fort Kochi, but you always need a vehicle to get in and out of there. The service is very good. Rooms are good and has a kind of semi-Kerala architecture. So, the corridors are a little narrow, tight and dark, but, rooms are nice. The breakfast is not the best you will find for a hotel of this grade, but, I must say that the breakfast quality has gone down in all Tridents. The price of the booking was absolute value for money.
Away from the hustle and bustle
Stayed at the Trident,Cochin on our way to Kumarokom. The place was suggested by a friend as it was away from the hustle and bustle of Kochi. The place lived upto its expectation. Great place to simply spend a day. The staff were very courteous and professional. The pool facilities were amazing, the pool itself being nestles amidst greenery. The North Indian fare especially from the Tandoor needs a lot of work and so does the breakfast menu.( Ordered the chicken Tikka at the pool side and it was disappointing). The continental food fared better. The room size was small yet adequate. Our room offered the pool view which I would suggest for anybody staying at the hotel. In all, if you are looking for stay in Kochi away from the city chaos but close enough to explore Fort Kochi, Trident suits just fine. The pool takes the star at this place
