Lovely rooms and open Atrium interior hotel
I stayed two nights, and the various hotel staff were friendly. The business center is in a very hot room upstairs, but was quiet. Small buffet in the restaurant, but the food was good Upon check out they tried to charge me for minibar nuts which I did not consume
Lovely hotel but......
This is an excellent hotel even if the decor in the rooms is a little faded. The room itself was huge. The staff in the main are excellent and dinner at the rooftop restaurant was superb. Breakfast was no better than average but adequate. All went well until the second and last night of our stay when we never slept at all. The reason, the Indian Navy were building a new base opposite the hotel and drills, lorries, waste clearance etc etc carried on through the night until roughly 5 am. When it finally quietened down the call to prayer at the local mosque started. No sleep whatsoever and the night manager wouldn't even move us to a room at the rear of the hotel. Would I stay there again, on balance and providing there were no building works, yes.
Loved This Hotel!
Though we reached the hotel after 10:30, they provided us with breakfast and rooms. Rooms were lovely. Mine was noisy because it faced the port but I was glad to have a balcony and the view. Hotel has an inner courtyard with lots of light. The rooftop swimming pool was a fabulous break from the heat of the day. We had an afternoon swim followed by chai provided from a cart as a treat. Dinner, also al fresco on the rooftop was delicious. Best of all, there was beautiful live music: drummer and flute. The staff at this hotel was particularly sweet.
EXCELLENT HOTEL AND GOOD FOOD
After a 10 hour flight, the hotel was a fantastic oasis of rest and relaxation. Friendly and efficient staff, large clean and fresh rooms, pool on the roof, yoga and massages and, last but not least, good food at the roof restaurant. A place to return.
Favourite Hotel in Kochi
The indoor courtyard style of this hotel is stunning! We loved the murals on the walls depicting the history of this age old spice port city. We had a beautiful dinner on the rooftop one evening and the mango lassis and homemade marmalade in the breakfast room were exquisite!
