Excellent Stay in Tiger Country
the Vivanta is conveniently located near Ranthambore National Park--about a 15 minute drive. The lodge is an old hunting lodge of the Maharajas. The rooms are nice, and we were able to stay in a suite which was wonderful. What makes this hotel exceptional is the staff. There is nothing they would not do for us. They remember what we ordered and how we wanted it prepared. They anticipated our every move. For our safaris they prepared hot water bottles and blankets to keep us warm. The food is varied and well prepared. I would not opt for the 3 meal plan as you have no time to have lunch in between safaris. I will definitely stay there next time we go to Ranthambore.
What a amazing stay
Was our first visit to Ranthambore. What a amazing trip. The staff were great. Exceptional service. Looking forward to our next visit when we visit India again. Would highly recommend to stay here when visiting Ranthambore.
An amazing stay at vivanta Sawai Madhopur Lodge
From the moment we arrived an were greeted by Robinson, we were made to feel welcome at home in this amazing place. The service was prefect-friendly and helpful The rooms were large and comfortable Food was plentiful and delicious We were traveling as a family and we all felt really sad to be leaving and have sworn to return and stay for longer next time An amazingly peaceful, friendly and relaxing stay Thank you very much to everyone there who made our stay perfect
Vivanta is one of the best and reasonable property to stay in Ranthambore. Its a chain of Taj hotels so all the amenities is taken care. We were staying in the suite and it was large, big bathroom with greenery outside .The food was good and the breakfast has a decent spread. Mr Gajendra Pareek the general manager took extra care with the reservation, booking and he was very helpful. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. They have a lovely bar room to unwind and relax after the safari. complementary tea, coffee and snacks are arranged in the morning before the safari and in the evening after the safari. One can also organise special dinner with special settings. Also thanking the F&B staff to set up a lovely setting for the birthday celebration. They have a swimming pool too. We had a fantastic stay and would recommend this property if you are visiting Ranthambore.
Not much goes right here!
From the time we checked in it was a poor experience. We arrived around 6:30 pm in freezing cold weather. Has to stand outside to sort out our rooms instead of being asked into the warm reception area. The room is far from the main building and it’s dark. Noise from the street all day into evening. Went to the bar for a cocktail — They did not have half the listed spirits on the menu. Waited 20 minutes for a simple vodka on the rocks and then finally left without it. Double room - for two people and only one robe. Took an hour to get a second robe and required two requests. Rug in room may not have been shampooed since Queen Elizabeth’s visit. Table settings haphazard - some had knives, some didn’t. Staff hasn’t been trained to ask if someone wants milk in coffee and just pours it. Food very mediocre. Luckily it was buffet so at least there was no waiting. Hot water in shower randomly vacillating between hot and lukewarm. Lecturer on tigers could barely be understood and rambled, going 20 minutes over time while we suffered through a poorly organized ramble. The obvious gazes at cell phones and watches did not dissuade him. The safari driver nearly got us into a head on collision passing on the way to the park. I had to less than benevolently ask him to drive slower and more safely. Staff is polite and eager to please but the management and training of this so called luxury lodge leave much to be desired. On the plus side WiFi is good. Strongly do not recommend this place.
