A magical jungle stay
I travelled with my husband and my 6 year old daughter and a 5 month old baby, along with 2 other families. Firstly from a safety point, the standards in place due to covid were excellent. We were asked for our covid vaccine certs on check in, there were plenty of staff continuously sanitising, and a staff member giving out masks if any guests forgot to wear theirs. The hotel itself is amazing. Each room is designed like a tent. My daughter loved how it looked. The noise of the rain falling on the tented roof, along with the sounds of nature surrounding us was so relaxing. The rooms were spacious, so comfortable and the bathroom design and layout really nice. Everything impeccably clean. A lovely touch was the child size robe and slippers for my daughter to use. She was delighted with that. The rooms are a nice stroll from the main hotel building, or you can be brought in the golf buggy if you prefer. Food was delicious, plenty of choice and any requests we had were no issue. The children enjoyed tent building and roasting marshmallows, there were great activities organised for the children. I also used the babysitter (Tshering and Kinley) on two occasions for my 5 month old and both times they were reliable and excellent with my daughter. I would highly recommend a stay here. It is ideally located to go on safari trips, and there is plenty to enjoy around the hotel grounds itself. A climb to the top of the observation tower is worthwhile for a fantstic view. This hotel is a slice of luxury in the middle of beautiful forests. I would happily have stayed 2 more nights if time allowed. We will most definitely return here again.
Could not find any complaint even if we tried!
Not enough words to describe what a wonderful experience this was from start to finish. And credit goes to the entire team led by Mr. Praveen for not just maintaining the highest standard set by Vilas properties, Oberoi but going above and beyond to ensure that there was not a single request that was not fulfilled. Loads of much needed pampering inam otherwise difficult time!!
Warm and lovely experience
Me and my family had a wonderful stay at the Vanyavilas! Right from the warm reception to room decoration to our meals it really felt like royalty. Ratna and her team were exceptional in taking care of us and were always eager to help to make our experiences more enjoyful . I was travelling with my 8 month old son and was worried about his meals requirements however the chef whipped up khichdis, oats, porridges and fruit mashes exactly to our preferences which really was a life saver. Even the housekeeping staff were courteous and left us beautiful towel decorations and little gifts for my son! During the safari also they provided complimentary refreshments which was indeed really thoughtful! All in all a great experience and one which we will always cherish!
Grand Luxury Resort- great for a short family getaway
The Oberoi hotels are known for their hospitality and comfort, however this was definitely on another level. Every aspect of the resort brings you peace and comfort and a feeling of being at one with nature. They have only one category of rooms- all rooms are two people capacity tents. Beautifully made taking into account every single aspect of what one may need on a vacation, be it a hot bath with rejuvenating bath salts, a spacious cupboard, a work space for the ones that can't stop working even on vacation, a beautiful garden where peacocks visit and an outdoor lounging area to go with it. You can spend the entire day, just at the resort, doing multiple activities of just getting a drink and spending time with your loved ones in any of the spaces around the resort. They have a beautiful lounge where they have talks every evening on different topics, the most sought out one being the talk on the tigers of Ranthambore and the history of it's national park. They have their own kitchen garden and you could go on a tour of that or just go on their nature walk, where your guide takes you through the entire property and tells you about the different species of flora and fauna. This tour ends at their observatory deck, from where you get a beautiful view of the national park and the sunset. We got very lucky and spotted a leopard really far away on top of a hill through the binoculars our guide had. They even have their own yoga instructor and you can schedule a class with her at their open and peaceful yoga deck in the middle of nature. On cold winter nights, you could get a drink at the bonfire area with live music and beautifully decorated candles. The main dining area also has an open seating option with live music every night. During your free time at the resort, you can chase after peacocks, say hi to their pet elephant, Laxmi or get a relaxing massage at their spa.
On my bucket list and finally got to stay an Oberoi-branded "vilas" property. Didn't know what to expect, didn't do any tripadvisor research (relied on the Oberoi Vanyavils brand equity!), just booked it directly through their Exotic Vacations team which were really helpful - special mention of Karan who was very accommodating with our my requests, changes, etc. Worth it from every angle. The Oberoi has a super property at the Oberoi Vanyavilas and if you want to pamper yourself while visiting the Ranthambore game park, then this is the way to do it. The rooms, staff, food... totally worth the price (we booked well in advance so did get a very good all-inclusive package) and I would definitely stay here again. The 'tent' was great and had a Nespresso machine with some really good coffee pods. Ratna (GM) and her team were on the ball and took care of everything and even more. Totally accommodating and eager to make sure you had a great stay. We all know, the past one year has not been kind to a lot of businesses, esp hospitality, and to see smiling staff throughout or stay was refreshing. They had had a few cancellations (prob had more peacocks than guests on this property!) but we went through with our booking holiday with a positive outlook and I think that also helped. We didn't book any game drives through the hotel but they made sure that we were well-stocked for all our drives (through another safari company) with food, cool boxes, binoculars and most importantly, health and safety kits (masks, etc.). The food at the hotel was very good and they were happy to accommodate all requests. They even organised a special private dinner for us overlooking the amphitheatre. Didn't use the spa but the pool was a very welcome option. The rooms were great and housekeeping ensured that everything was sanitised, safe, clean during our stay. And we got to see a family of three sloth bears. Rarer than spotting tigers in Ranthambore. (Yes, we saw tigers as well) Am already thinking of my next trip...
