One of the best stay in wild and with wild
Pench Jungle Camp was a natures paradise. Right from the welcome to the see off it was a spectacular experience. The food was utterly delectable and the best part being their packed breakfast for the safari.. and the way it was laid was truly amazing.. Their hi tea set up in the evening with bonfire also added spark to our experience.. Their naturalist Akhil was thoroughly knowledgeable and enjoyed the early morning guided walk in their ecopark, another guy to name Rajnish very helpful and short stories of his jungle experiences were too good to hear. Primary attraction of the hotel were the 4 guards or would say new friends we made, Justin, Shakira, Martin & Jennifer, these are 4 friendly dogs mix breed of German Shepard + Alsatian and the lead of all Mr.GM (don’t recollect the name) very amazing person very active to ensure guests are enjoying every bit.
A home away from home
The trip to Pench Jungle Camp was our lockdown breaking trip, we had a completely wonderful experience at this legendary property. The tents were truly luxurious and totally private with its own private garden. All meals were excellent. But what set the experience apart was the small-little details (like cleaning my car in the parking lot before departure!), the helpfulness and courteousness of the staff. Go grab an awesome stay experience!
One of the Memorable Stay
The hospitality, the ambience, the comfort and the welcome provided by this resort makes me feel short of words! Absolutely loved the stay! Special mention to Chef Thapa for making every meal the best during our stay at this wonderful property. Would love to visit again sometime
Hospitality at its best
We were here to celebrate my 25th Anniversary with friends , totally 10 of us for 02 nights , we were blown away with the never say no Attitude of the staff , we believe it was due to the top leadership of the General Manager and operation manager. Food was great be it in the restaurant or what was packed for the safari. We really enjoyed the safari and the tour of the local villages with the naturalist from the resort... We are definitely coming back here again.
Average place -- Suitable for short stay
We stayed at PJC in first week of Feb'21. They have luxury tents & cottages. Property is decent & suitable for short stay. It takes jst over 2 hrs to reach here from Nagpur airport. Its an easy drive & the road is superb. 1. Room - we were in 'luxury tent'. It may be called so but the amenities are pretty average. Tent is quite spacious (including bathroom) & has a sit-out area. It lacked few basic requirements such as 'safe' , no hooks anywhere in the bathroom to hang clothes, towel etc. The plug points are the ones which have a clamp so you need some pointed object to life up the clamp so you can insert your charger etc. The tents/cottages are situated quite close to each other. You will not get disturbed with the noise but the arrangement is quite linear & narrow. 2. Food - We had taken all meal plan so had the buffet spread. Food was nice & spread was quite good. It wasnt sumptuous but good. Unfortunately, table mats were not replaced after each meal but merely 'wiped' leaving stains quite visible. As you can imagine, it can be quite tough to ignore it. We did point it out to the staff but didnt really get a satisfying answer. 3. Safari gate - Turia (main gate) is quite close (abt 12-15 mins) drive from the lodge. The Khursapar gate (Maharashtra side) takes about 30 mins to reach. 4. Miscellaneous - a) Surprisingly the lodge management themselves were not wearing masks. Guests ofcourse were all roaming freely. (we think Covid has gone) b) You have the standard 'high-tea' in the evening , there is a games area, wildlife film in the evening. You get packed breakfast for safari. c) If you are an avid birder, you can go for a walk around the "eco-park" on their property across the lodge. You can spot birds in the lodge area as well (treepie, tickle's blue, cuckoo etc) d) Network : You get good network (4G included) of all carriers. We didnt really ask for wifi as it wasnt needed but i believe its available around the reception/dining areas only. So overall PJC is decent place to stay for couple of nights. If you are looking for 'luxury & other amenities' then you should look at other options. Its not good but its not bad either. I would rate it 3.5 but tripadvisor doesnt give me that option.
