World Class Experience
World class jungle lodge experience. Ruturaj, Shashank and Rajnish were all great people. Good cottages and wonderful food. We loved the place and the safaris were great - saw plenty of tigers. Highly recommended.
Superb and highly recommended! Giving tough competition to other premium properties
We stayed here for 5 nights, 1 night in the standard room and 4 nights in the Delux Cottage. The Standard room was also quite nice and cosy. I am a Paraplegic in a wheelchair and the standard room was slightly more accessible as there was a ramp to get in the room. But the Delux Cottage was extremely comfortable and spacious. Both rooms had good bathrooms and I was able to manage in both bathrooms quite will as they were nice enough to provide a garden chair which I could use as a shower chair. I have to say the hospitality is par excellence from the Manager Rajnish to his Deputy Shashank, to the staff with extremely special mention to Mr Raju who took great care of us like family. All of them are extremely humble. The staff in the dining area are also extremely friendly and helpful. The food was also excellent in the restaurant along with the packed breakfast for the safaris. The pool area can be improved but as such it was a decent experience and in the summer heat a good relief specially after a long day in safari. My son definitely enjoyed the pool. He also enjoyed playing with their 4 friendly German Shepherds. We did 6 safaris in all, 3 morning and 3 evening with 4 safaris in Turia and 2 in Khursapar. We were lucky to see 4 tigers, 3 leopards, a huge pack of at least 20-30 wild dogs feasting on a deer, two jackals, many Indian Gaurs (Bisons), Neel Gai's, Deers, monkeys, one monitor lizard, many Sambals, kingfisher birds, parakeets, Navrang bird which is a migrant, eagles, Blue Jays and many other birds. A special mention about their safari driver, Mr Gurunath Thackery who took great care of us and made our Sundowner experience on Kokha lake even more special where he was so helpful to take care that my wheelchair was able to go across the boat and we had a beautiful High tea experience surrounded by nature and wildlife. Specially when a person is with a disability like me being a Paraplegic they gave special attention with my family and me really having an enjoyable time. They also organized a special dinner in the forest for all guests on a full moon night under the stars in their eco park, with the food again being lip smacking.
Relaxed lodging very near Turia Gate with warm hospitality
We visited as a couple from 5 April till 8 April 2022. I am a Jungle enthusiast. This trip was originally booked in 2019 but I had to cancel at the last moment. The administration kindly consented to keep my deposit at abeyance. Then came covid for 2 years. Finally, after 3 years I could make my trip to Pench. Because of the timing of our flight from Kolkata, we reached the property at 1am. The manager called the day before, and as requested sent Grilled chicken sandwich and chilled Diet Coke as our light dinner on our way from Nagpur airport. The chauffeur, Mr Sandip made us felt safe and secure even that late at night. I must say, I was a bit apprehensive travelling so late. On arrival, we were greeted by a full team, including Mr Ruturaj Patil, the naturalist of the camp. We were taken to our cottage directly. For the next morning safari, the buggy was waiting at the cottage. All the four safaris arranged by the manager went through seamlessly. The whole atmosphere of the camp is truly like a jungle camp. There has been minimal interference of nature, and yet you get a very comfortable stay amidst the rustic beauty. The staff, everyone, is very warm and has a very helping attitude always. The buffet had a wide variety everyday. The spread had a local flavour but again the supervisor was always very attentive to any special needs. We requested fruit juice and nimbu pani to be added to our safari breakfast and that was complied to. That brings us to the sumptuous breakfast spread that we enjoyed on our morning safaris. Overall the experience was an awesome one. Looking forward to be back at Jungle Camp soon. Also it was a lucky place for me as I had good sighting of birds and animals including tigers.
Haven't experienced this kind of hospitality
I am an ardent traveller and have stayed in properties across budgets and classes. But Pench Jungle Camp is one of those places that will overwhelm you with their hospitality. Great location, clean rooms, super polite staff and always eager to help you. Usually, the intention of any staff is to help you so that you tip them well, but here the staff wants to ensure that your experience is great, without any expectation. The food is great, and it is in 10 minute proximity of the Turia Gate and 25 mins from the Khursapar gate. Keep up the good work guys!!
a fantastic and welcoming place to stay amidst nature....and a world class team to give you the Wow! experience
We reached Pench Jungle Camp after driving straight from Tadoba. A warm welcome by Rajnish Pradhan their Lodge Manager set the tone of our stay end experience there. The icing on the Mowgli cake was the excellent unblemished experience we had from start to finish at Pench Jungle Camp. Our cottage was large and spacious, furnished, and the bed super comfortable. PJC is well spaced out with none of the huts, cottages, or tents intruding on each other. And with a large central lawn and a spacious dining area, bar, and movie showing room. In addition, an adjacent 40 acres of jungle is also a part of the Camp where one can view birds and the occasional animals privately in solitude. The hardware is perfect. 10 on 10. The Lodge Manager, Rajnish Pradhan, with his excellent Naturalists, Ruturaj Patil and Shashank, the F&B head, Yadav, and everyone make an excellent team that believes in giving every guest the level of personalised service that each deserves – engaging and yet non intrusive. Like at all resorts we were going to stay, we had intimated in advance about our desire for low oil and low masala food. What a pleasant experience to find Yadav and the Chef meet us on arrival to understand our need. And in every meal 2 specially prepared dishes were there for us to savour. The spread of the buffet in any case had a wide enough choice yet we got our special dishes in every meal. Ruturaj accompanied us for all safaris and it was a pleasure to have him with us.His insights and knowledge of the forest is par excellence. And mind you to cater to and balance the expectations of Raghoo the birder and I the animal photographer was no mean task.Kudos to Ruturaj. 10 on 10 for your effort as a Naturalist. Rajnish met us after every safari to share notes and give his experience laced tips. And on departure the customary double hands raised farewell was given by Rajnish and his team – what a difference from the damp squib experience of Svasara at Tadoba....the soft qualities even better. 11 on 10 on this. All this had been preceded by an equally efficient reservation and pre arrioval process with Abhishekh Agarwal from their Delhi Head office. Thank you all you lovely people.......We shall certainly come again and again.
