The Best Ever!!!
We went to Evolve Back Kabini for our 10th anniversary. We stayed for 3 nights n it was no less than a dream. Since I have been to their coorg property my expectations were quite high n Kuruba Safari Lodge didn't let it down. Right from the pick up from blr to drop at Blr airport everything was flawless. They keep refreshments in the car which shows that they care. As soon as we reached the resort we were greeted so well n the view is so beautiful n serene. The check in was so smooth. The staff explains you everything so well. I am forgetting the name of the girl who took care for our stay. She was always smiling n took care of us very well. We stayed in the pool hut. It was quite spacious n the pool was just perfect for an afternoon dip. The food at honey comb restaurant was delicious. The service was spot on. They never said NO to anything. They are ready to do whatever you ask them for. The spa at the vaidyashala was extraordinary. It was very different from the regular spa at the hotels. The room opening to the lotus pond was just like cherry on the cake. It was a very relaxing experience. They have lot activities in the resort like tribal village visit, Bullock cart ride, sunset Cruise, coracle ride, sunset at sundowner deck. All of these were really good. We were traveling with our 2 n a half year old son n all the staff were so friendly with him esp that Bengali girl I am again forgetting her name. They were ready to make anything that I asked them to for my son to eat. It was our anniversary so they arranged for the cake at the sundowner deck. It was really am amazing experience to celebrate our special day by the river with such a view. Staying at Evolve back is not just a holiday but it's an experience. The best things I liked were 1) 100 percent plastic free resort...Applause for them 2) The infinity pool 3) Sundowner Deck 4) The greenery ( just walking around in the whole resort is so serene n peaceful) 5) The hospitality is unbeatable 6) The food was delicious I think I can go on n on. Everything was just perfect... At last I would like to suggest two things to replace the plastic kettles in the rooms with the steel ones. And I felt the menu n ambiance at Kuruba grill can be done different. It was almost same like honeycomb. ( Like in Coorg all three restaurant s have such a different ambiance n menu) Room Tip: Go for the pool hut n if you can splurge then Pool reserve :)
Stayed in all 3 Evolve Back resorts and each in its own way was wonderful. I really couldn’t say one was better than the other. The only downside is everywhere else we went was a let down. Accommodation, meals, resort facilities, excursions, general environment and staff were superb. Impossible to criticise anything. Highly recommend the 3 resorts - Kabini, Coorg and Hampi.
Falling in love...!
We are frequent travellers and use to stay in luxury hotels all over the world. During our Indian trip we discovered all three Evolve Back resorts (Hampi, Coorg & Kabini), each of them is gorgeous and completely different from the others. When we arrived in Kabini, we felt in love of this resort since the begin. The resort is in harmony with nature and very spacious for only 37 cottages. All of them dispose of a living room (lounge & table with chairs) big bath, sleeping room and an own terrace with canvas chairs. Some of them have a separate whirlpool or even an own pool. As we got an Upgrade for one night (thank you once again), we had a huge cottage with 2 terraces on the groundfloor, own swimming pool and on the roof a third terrace with a bed where you can stay during the day, enjoy sunset or also sleep at night. The interior decoration is natural, a lot of wood and ecological. The resort also contains of a reading lounge, a huge outdoor infinity pool, a SPA and 2 restaurants. The resort is in the wilderness and famous for the safaris you can do, by vehicle or by boat. We were on a 4 hours jeep safari in the early morning and were very happy to see a leopard. We can really recommend this safari which is accompagnied from very professional and competent wilderness experts! What we experienced in this resort, was really outstanding. The range of food, quality and service of the staff and especially their attention and behaviour was unbelievable. At each and every moment we felt welcome, treated with passion and heart. All the staff speaks fluent English and it is their goal that all the guests feel comfortable at any time for any kind of needs & requirements. The friendliness was everywhere: from housekeeping, to the gardeners, reception and waiters in the restaurant - just amazing! Our Congratulations to Thomas Paul, the General Manager, for his great investment in the most important of a company: their employees! During your stay you get a person who is taking care about you for all kind of questions. And even, if once she has a day off or is occupied, the other staff people are very good informed also. This exemplary information flow impressed us a lot. A special thanks to Vishnu, the restaurant Manager. He was so nice and took care about us at every time we went for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We had the impression, the staff people can read our wishes from our eyes, even if they kept discret at every time. We will never forget the special treatment and really hope to see all of you once again! The people here touched us personally, thanks a lot, from the bottom of our hearts! We have never been in Evolve Back resorts before, but for sure not the last time. We can highly recommend this 5star plus resort to everybody who likes to spend some relaxing days in a amazing wilderness resort with all its amenities and outstanding service! We felt such in love with Evolve Back, that we plan to visit their new resort in Botswana next year. Thanks so much to everybody!
Peaceful, relaxing, wonderful setting and the most delicious food
Loved Kabini Back resort. Stopped here for four nights between Mysore and Ooty. We could not fault this place. The setting is magical looking across the Kabini lake/river towards Nagarhole. Our room was really wonderfully spacious. We chose to have a swimming pool villa and we loved relaxing by the pool and having a dip on two afternoons. It probably wouldn’t be necessary to have a pool villa if staying for a shorter time as there is a large infinity pool for everyone’s use as well. The food was the most delicious we have had on any holiday, so well presented and a huge variety. The chefs and waiters in the restaurant were so lovely, talented and helpful, especially Boodesha who appeared to have everything under control and was just delightful. For our onward journey we were given a food parcel in a bag which had been recycled from yesterday’s newspaper. This was representative of the rest of this resort which is striving to be environmentally friendly, encourage responsible tourism and use natural products. The grounds of Evolve back were beautiful. We discovered the reading room on our second day and thought it was the most magical place to sit quietly and enjoy the views...or read. It is also worth visiting the interpretation centre to discover more about the animals, birds and fauna. The highlight of many visitors to the resort are the safari trips. We went on one boat safari led by Ramesh who was so knowledgeable and a really lovely guide. We were lucky to see a tiger on our first trip. We enjoyed the relaxation of the boat safari, but also had a great experience on our morning land safari where we saw a leopard with her cub. Although the tiger and leopard were the highlight of both trips we also saw many other birds and animals and learnt a lot about them. Shan, who organises the trips and promotes them on arrival to the hotel was also incredibly helpful and friendly. One other member of staff needs mentioning, the absolutely delightful Vijaya who we understood to be a trainee Executive for hospitality. She was the most charming young lady who will surely go a long way in the hospitality industry with her lovely manner. We also went on the sunset trip which was a nice way to finish our stay. We had intended going on the village tour, but the timings of our safari made this difficult as we didn’t want to squeeze too much into our stay. Just being in the resort, having a drink in the reading room or bar and walking by the lake around the resort grounds was magical enough in itself.
