The Best Eco Friendly Resort
Stayed here overnight with my family. This is the Best Eco friendly resort in Thekkady. I love it. Eco friendly in all manner, even in small small things. The restaurant is nice & clean. Good food. WiFi is available. Swimming pull & spa facility is available but a bit over priced. The best part is you are surrounded by greenary all around. Big trees with proper name and description on it. Lovely weather adds more spice to our joy. Love to visit again for leisure trip. Service staff is courteous.
Can’t fault this wonderful place. Loved the chalet rooms, plenty of space and everything we needed. Beautiful grounds that we walked through to and thro the restaurant. Great to see the chalets being re thatched in a traditional way. Plenty of birds around resort. Nice bar with snooker table and a professional to challenge you!
Very agreable base for excursions into the Periyar
We stayed a couple of nights in this all-eco bungalow lodge to have a base to go birding in the Periyar. We very much liked it here: friendly staff, spacy bungalows and a restaurant with an excellent kitchen. Would go back there at any time!
A delightful haven
We had a truly wonderful stay at the Spice Village in early March and have come home with the happiest of memories of this beautiful, peaceful haven. We were sad to leave and would love to return one day. The staff were incredibly kind and friendly and highly professional. The cottage was spotless and extremely comfortable. The grounds are exquisite with many different and interesting trees and shrubs. And the hotel arranges all sorts of free activities for the guests - wildlife talks, yoga classes, dance performances etc - which were a joy to attend. It was a delightful stay there and we would recommend the hotel without hesitation.
Perfect resort in Periyar
Another fine Cgh Earth property located in the lovely town of Thekaddy. We had two nights there and could have happily stayed for more. Our cottage (deluxe with private garden - previously occupied by Sir Paul McCartney no less) was very spacious with a large sitting room, entrance hall, bedroom and bathroom. Nice welcome and escort to room, good housekeeping and room service, excellent breakfast selection and delicious suppers. We loved the Woodhouse bar complete with billiards table and the 50 Mile restaurant with all produce sourced within that range (really nice dosas). Pool looked fine but we never had the time to enjoy! Recommend the Lake Periyar boating and the half-day hike and rafting trips.
