Delhi Businees Trip
I had few meetings in delhi and looking a peaceful place to stay. This property is worth to stay if you are looking for heritage lush green cool and calm place to stay. That’s how I ended up here and I’m amazed to experience the hospitality of the staff be it any time. I really appreciate the entire staff to make my business trip easy and hassle free from check in to out. I would love to stay again as and when needed in future. Surrounding are pretty smoothing especially in the evening and morning while sitting in open area.
A fantastic hidden 💎! From the Oberoi portfolio.
Had heard about this heritage property on the other side of Delhi. We were looking for a quick getaway to celebrate my wife's birthday with some close family. Did the booking via their own site, and ended up calling Oberoi reservations who helped kindly with the two rooms, Bkfast included, booked at very reasonable prices. The fantastic value for money got even better when we were all upgraded thanks to the front office manager. The welcome drink ( made with Khus and Rose) sharbat-i-ada I believe it's called. Was fantastic. And so much a throwback to the time of vetiver blinds to keep the heat away. Our upgrade suite was spacious with the old style furniture but a very newly furnished washroom. The bedroom was decorated tastefully to celebrate my wife's birthday. And a lovely cake placed at the table. The pool was brilliant and we got another welcome drink (the brilliant aforementioned sherbet). It's a pool that rivals the one in the Oberoi flagship( except for the piped music). The fitness center was adequate but didn't use it much. The breakfast area is slightly small but despite running nearly full the staff managed everything adroitly. All dishes were excellent, the eggs Benedict, the Paratha,. And great service. A short but memorable stay. We love heritage hotels and it's so wonderful to come across one an hour away, and so reasonably priced, not to mention close to some old Delhi eateries which we stepped out to try for old times sake. Will be back for the service, the facilities and the value!
Beautiful heritage hotel with awesome staff
This is one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve stayed at. Nice old heritage building and awesome staff who takes care of guests. The food at the resturant is good, very nice breakfast buffet and relaxing swimming pool, where they serve you free soft drinks.
Exceptionally nice stay. A real heritage colonial property with sprawling lawns with peacocks, peahen, parrots and other birds. Big and spic & span rooms, professional & friendly staff who have concern about guests. A majestic hotel with an affordable tariff. How we missed all these years!! Without our asking, they kept our breakfast packed and kept ready by 4.30 am so that we dont feel hungry in the train.
Jewel in the Crown
Over the last forty years I have had the necessity to frequent a variety of hotels over five continents raging from one to five stars. As regards hotels I thought I had seen it all, tasted it all, and experienced it all. Happily I was mistaken. During my recent trip to India, I had the good fortune of discovering the Maidens Hotel in Delhi, and ended up staying there three separate times during my extended trip. Built in 1903 during the colonial period, the Maidens Hotel retains all its historic charm, while offering all the conveniences of a modern hotel. Nestled in a garden of green, it is not unusual to spy a peacock or two while walking the grounds. And with the metro only a five minute walk away, it is also perfectly situated if you want to venture out for a bit. However, many hotels can boast of nice peaceful views. What sets the Maidens Hotel apart is its exemplary management. From porter to duty manager, from housekeeping to head chef, every staff member has the single goal of keeping their guests happy. The staff is a direct reflection of general manager Mr. Puneet Kapoor's management style. What comes across is genuine customer care, as opposed to meaningless obsequiousness. It comes as no surprise that I highly recommend the Maidens Hotel.
