A Beautiful Heritage Hotel and Intro to the Hospitality of India

We spent 2 nights here in February 2020. When we first arrived in Delhi, tired and a bit overwhelmed. We arrived very early in the morning, long before check-in. They were very accomodating, sending us in to have breakfast and quickly preparing the room. The room was very large and spacious, with plenty of space for packing and unpacking. There was a fridge with a minibar and that was nice too. Everything was very comfortable and we loved how old and historic the hotel was. The breakfast was great and the staff was very attentive. I ordered a la cart for breakfast and it was good. I enjoyed eating on the patio and watching the resident peacock preen about. One night we had room service pizza delivered and that was quick and easy as we were still very tired. The hotel is close to many attractions, although Deli is very large. We had a driver and I noticed that the security at the hotel was very effective and it felt safe. In the evenings we enjoyed drinks in the Calvary Bar and had a long chat with the bartender who was from Northern India and told us all about it. Sadly, it was not quite warm enough to swim in the pool. The Maidens Hotel was a great place and I highly recommend it and would stay again!

Splendid Heritage Hotel

We recently spent 2 nights at this beautiful colonial style hotel at the end of our tour of Rajasthan. From the moment we arrived our stay was perfect. Check in was quick and painless and our room was ready for us. We found that we had been upgraded to a deluxe suite which was a great surprise. Lots of space with a separate lounge area. Large bedroom with walk in wardrobe. Bathroom with a large shower and a bath. All creature comforts were catered for. We ate at the hotel for breakfast and evening dinner. Breakfast is buffet style but you can add other items as you require. There is also a buffet available in the evenings. We chose to select from the a la carte menu and were not disappointed. The dishes were well presented and tasted fabulous. Service was friendly and attentive especially of note was Ashok. Thank you for your assistance over menu choices. We spent a couple of tranquil hours sitting by the pool which is situated in the beautiful gardens. Nothing disturbed us apart from the resident house peacocks. We required assistance with our return air tickets and Sangrica on Reception was amazing. She always seemed to be on shift working. Thank you enormously for your help with everything and your personal touches. We had to leave early for our flight home, so a takeaway breakfast bag was arranged for us. The hotel is situated in a quiet area of Delhi. Ideally situated for sight seeing. Unfortunately we arrived at the Maidens Hotel the day before all monuments in India were closed due to the Coronavirus crisis. We were able to have a drive around the city and noted that the hotel was ideally placed for city tours. Thank you to the staff and management for making our stay an excellent and memorable one.

Hotels building was a wonderfull renovated collonial building.I can easly say that great service ,perfect rooms ,good location and a good price.I ve used metro (so close to hotel) On my last days I ve used a private car with a driver from hotel. Everything was easy and comfortable.

Stayed 3 -6 and 13 -14 March

These were a returning visit for us and we were not disappointed our expectations were matched and surpassed. Our rooms were upgraded on both occassions to wonderful suites. The service throughout our staff was first rate and Mr Kapoor was always at hand checking if everything was good - he need have no worries all his staff from reception to cleaners are a credit to him. This hotel is an ossis of calm in a busy city. To return from a morning sightseeing to the peaceful gardens and pool is amazing. The food was delicious and the waiters were always helpful at explaining dishes. The drinks by the pool and the Happy Hour in the bar were alos very welcome. We were able to leave some of our lugguage when we left and collecting on our return a great help with weight restriction on internal flights. Overal we felt like honoured guests throughout and we are very much hoping to return again I am sure we wont be disappointed !

Not the character I was expecting

We stayed there for 2 nights. Location is not near the airport, so on our last day we had to depart very early so could not have breakfast, yet the hotel offered us either a packed breakfast or the possibility to have some tea with biscuits which was appreciated. The room was comfortable so was the bathroom (very modern), though it did not have all the character I was expecting from a historic hotel. Service was very friendly and helpful, though we had to ask for help a couple of times because of the room heating system did not seem to work properly at the beginning. Neither breakfast or dinner was especial.
