Though the hotel is located in an urban area the grounds are open and spacious and relatively quiet. The room at the rear of the hotel was an adequate size for two and looked out over an open area. The lobby, meeting rooms and eating areas were all very nice and well kept. Enjoyed our breakfast each morning. I would advise getting a room more towards the lobby area as we had long walks to get back and forth to our room. Would also avoid getting a downstairs room as they didn't have as much as a private feeling as those on the upper floor.
Great value, near the Taj Mahal
We found the Trident Hotel to be a very good value. It is a mini-Oberoi (owned by Oberoi): much less expensive and the attitude for providing attentive service that you find at the Oberoi Hotels. Nice buffet breakfast. Rooms are comfortable.
A very charming luxury hotel
The hotel has a nice touch of modern style, and has great amenities & services. Our room is nice and spacious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was good, especially the dosa. It was a nice surprise that the hotel provides guests with some "mini" entertainment & activities (e.g. magic show, pottery demo) starting in the late afternoon. We enjoyed the swimming pool and the pool bar after a long hot day from sightseeing. There are a few nice shops that sell quality items such as clothing, souvenir and jewelry. If you want to go outside of the hotel, take a taxi or tuk tuk, and not safe to walk as there is no sidewalk.
Immaculate and Super-Friendly Hotel
From the minute that we arrived at this hotel for our one night stay, the experience was superb. Suhali greeted us at Reception and explained all that we needed to know. She went out of her way to tell us all that the hotel offered. Our room was exceptionally clean and comfortable and gave us a beautiful view of the exquisite gardens which were full of beautifully coloured birds. We ate in the evening in the hotel restaurant from the extensive buffet display. Roshan ably guided us through the dishes that were on offer and offered suggestions. The food and service were excellent. Thank you Roshan. Breakfast was again buffet style catering for all tastes. The gardens and swimming area were immaculately kept and offered sunny or shady corners to unwind in. Sadly the pool was closed on our visit due to the Coronavirus crisis, but it looked very inviting. The hotel is ideally located for visiting the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. The staff were polite, friendly and attentive and were a credit to the hotel. Thank you for a wonderful overnight stay at this beautiful hotel.
Beautiful Property and wonderful rooms
This was a wonderful spot to stay before we went to the Taj Mahal, during the evenings they have great entertainment including puppet shows, magicians, and other activities. The food was absolutely amazing and I loved that the rooms had true blackout curtains. There was also inhouse shopping for jewelry, souvenirs, and other items.
