My husband and I stayed here for one week in June 2019. The hotel has the most stunning views of the sea from the pool area. Our room was located on the same level as the pool and it only took a few seconds to get there which was a plus! The staff are fantastic and so polite and helpful. The restaurant looked lovely but we didn’t ever eat there as we always ate out and the restaurant was always very quiet when we were there. In terms of the breakfast, this was fantastic with a great variety. The pastries were super fresh as was the bread. The only criticism I have of the hotel is that when we first arrived the bathroom smelt of sewage which was disappointing for this type of hotel. We reported it to the staff and they did fix this problem the day after although it wasn’t ideal for this to have happened in the first place. If you are looking for a romantic place with beautiful views while in Santorini, I would certainly recommend this hotel. We also hired a car from the airport for our whole 7 day stay. Although we eventually did manage to find parking every day outside the hotel, it does get very busy with other vehicles parking there also. The roads are fairly small and it can be a tight squeeze but if you keep looking you will find a parking space!
Great place to stay
We spent 3 nights here in October, 2019 and had a great time. The view of the water and sunset is unbeatable. We never hurried to a restaurant to get the view as our view was better than that. It was a little windy one day but you could hunker down on the porch and be comfortable. The staff was very helpful, especially Peggy, and the room has everything you need. The food for breakfast was superb and quickly delivered to the room at no additional cost. The insight restaurant was always deserted - don’t know why. We never tried it as we found a little place down the street “for locals” which was inexpensive and good. If we came again we might try staying in Fira, where there is more “action” but this is a lovely and romantic spot!
Imerovigli is a very small village outside of busy Thira (aka Fira). The hotel is part of the Small Luxury Hotels collection. The all-suite accommodations were very nice especially if you upgrade to the rooms with hot tubs on the deck (overlooking the sea, of course). Like most places in Santorini, there are a lot of steps involved but you can request a room with less walking up and down. Beautiful views from sea view suites. Peggy Petratou, Hotel Operation and Sales Director is very hands on and she is terrific...everything from the warm welcome to personal greetings everyday. The hotel staff is very responsive and will help with anything from restaurant reservations to transfers to/from the port or airport. The breakfasts in the room are a highlight with wonderful choices available. We also enjoyed a late lunch upon arrival. Every place has a Greek salad, of course, but Gold Suites was especially good (composed salad was beautiful). This is a great hotel for couples. The bathrooms are a bit smaller than some of the hotels but certainly not a decision factor. Highly recommend if you want R&R and quiet.
This hotel is superb with fantastic views and in a great location to explore. The staff are friendly and do go out of their way to help you. I would highly recommend this hotel. The room was clean and beautiful. My only negative is the food selection at the hotel is limited especially gluten free options.
We had a great time at this hotel. The location, staff, room - perfect :) we had a superiour suite, it was spacious and the view from the balcony was breath taking. Short walk to restaurants from the hotel.
