Restaurants & bars
You’re spoilt for choice at Mayia Exclusive Resort & Spa, with 13 food and drink spots peppered throughout the grounds. Waterfront is the main buffet restaurant, with only a glass wall between the dining space and the Aegean, so you can revel in the sea views while tantalising scents from live cooking stations whet your appetite. For a taste of Greece head to Thymari, its name paying homage to the herbs that infuse the cuisine with its rich flavour. Elsewhere, Al Dente dishes up homemade Italian classics (the stone-baked pizzas are divine), while Wasabi serves Pan Asian specialties beneath a retractable roof – open in summer.
For lighter bites there’s street food at World Taste Corner, comfort food around the clock at All Day, plates of meze washed down with souma (the Rhodes take on raki) at Kaffenio, and pretty much anything you can wedge between two slices of bread at Sandwicherie. To satisfy sugar cravings, devour the sweet treats at Canela Patisserie & Gelateria – don’t miss the freshly made crepes.
Drinking dens range from Oinos Wine & Champagne Bar, a glossy haunt with blush-pink stools lining a marble counter, to sea-view Del Mar where cocktails are mixed to a live piano soundtrack, Senso for relaxed poolside drinks, and Bo nightclub where a young crowd gathers after dark.
