Restaurants & bars

This shimmering Aegean is a beautiful backdrop for meals at LUX.ME Rhodos’ seven restaurants and bars.

Helios Buffet Restaurant is an open-sided dining space, with tables and chairs spilling out onto the pool terrace. There’s a small bakery for baked treats to go and, later in the day, a hint of drama through the likes of live cooking stations and cold cuts sliced to order, along with thoughtful touches such as handmade pizza and a kids’ all-day snack corner.

Gnarly, silver-leaved trees give a clue to the name of the hotel’s Mediterranean restaurant – The Olive. The highlight here is a hot-stone steak grill where chefs cook the finest cuts to perfection. If you’re more sea-to-plate than field-to-fork, there’s a hearty menu of Mediterranean dishes too, made with the freshest of local, seasonal ingredients from the island.

With shimmering black and copper tiles, the bar at M.Butterfly catches magpie-eyed diners on their way into this sleek restaurant. Drink in hand, make your way to one of the glass-topped tables dotted throughout the stone-pillared space, where a Pan Asian menu awaits.

The beachfront Taverna is for dinner with a view: Greek plates overlooking sea panoramas. Try to time a pre-dinner glass of ouzo with sunset, as watching lilac-streaked sky turn mauve and then bruise blue-black is a spectacular display.

Elsewhere, feast on artisan sweet treats at the Crêperie & Gelateria (the lemon sorbet on a balmy day is heavenly), sip on cocktails at the toes-in-the-sand Beach Bar or linger over a nightcap atop red velvet couches in the Lounge Lobby Bar.
