Large hotel but excellent service
This is a big hotel but well set out so not too apparent; Need a seaview and the rooms with their own pools are not really worth the extra Need to book the a la carte restaurants well in advance; the main restaurnat is busy and noisy Food staff and facilities excellent
Amazing hotel - where you are made to feel speacial
This is our 8th visit to the Marbella Corfu Hotel and we will be back again. Although the hotel is big, it doesn't feel that way. There is an ethos where everyone makes you feel welcome. Our thanks to all the staff, old and new, who made our holiday so special. To Ilektra, Alice, Georgiou and Paniyotis in the Eleoneas Bar go special thanks, a mainly new team trained by Bar Manager Periklis, who treated us so well. They are a credit to the hotel, even under pressure they continued to smile. To our friends, Periklis, Nickey Kosma, Stavros and Fotis, as always, you are the people that make this hotel what it is and it wouldn't be the same without you and your touches. Thank you for everything! I hope our thanks get passed on to the people mentioned. My only tiny criticism is that the chairs and tables by the pool bar have been removed, this used to be a lovely area to sit in the shade and have a drink. Other than that, everything was perfect - Marbell Corfu hotel - please don't change - its perfect as it is!
Nice resort but lots of improvement required
So we stayed at the Marbella Resort Corfu during June/July 2022 as a family of eight. First a few positives, staff are super friendly and helpful. I cannot stress how good they are - all of them! The facilities (including the restaurants) are excellent and the hotel grounds and the surroundings views are absolutely amazing. Now some opportunities for improvement - there are no USB ports in the hotel rooms, which is very frustrating. The USB ports in the lobby area also do not work. Our bathroom was particularly old and dated (for a 5* hotel) and I struggled to use the shower, as the space is too small and is very poorly designed. The air conditioning in the restaurants and rooms just seems to be insufficient to cope with daily 35 degree centigrade heat. Even in restaurants, we find ourselves sweating. The formal evening dress code did not help. Most importantly for me is the hotel management's inability to control people placing their towels on sunbeds (essentially reserving them) from 7am onwards, and then not appearing until late afternoon. The hotel seems content on their guests arguing amongst each other to resolve, opposed to policing their hotel policy. For a family hotel, this is important when one has young kids, but staff and management don't want to get involved, which is disappointing. Everyone complains about this single issue everyday to Reception and Pool staff but nothing ever changed or prompted the hotel to act!
Had a lovely stay everything was superb, from ionna in reception taking care of our every need to the staff waiting on us on the beach , would recommend the restaurant on the beach visited there every lunch time, have also stayed at the neighbouring nido suites which our also excellent (adults only) so a lot quieter, will definitely return.
Fabulous hotel and amazing staff
Absolutely lovely hotel. The food in the restaurants are fabulous and the buffet is also great but we only ate breakfast there so I can't really comment on evening food. The staff can't do enough for you and they work extremely hard to make your holiday an experience. The drinks in the main bar on an evening are good and the all inclusive wine is delicious. There is nothing I can complain about in this hotel.
