Great hotel, great service and great staff
we (family of 3) stayed in this hotel for a week and i can not fault at all. all the services we received were the best. from rooms, food , facilities to great friendly and useful staff. we had great time in this hotel. food were great and there are lots to offer. with ultra inclusive package apart from foods and drinks we had many other things included such as voucher for spa or use of water sports. when we arrived , staff had already pre-booked us with some of al carte restaurant and great plan ( with transport) to a restaurant in village nearby. all nicely lpaned. very special thanks toTheodore the friendly lady in the main restaurant (breakfast ) , also sisi ( i hope i have his name right) also in the main restaurant. Dimitric in pool bar was great and helpful. i strongly recommend this hotel .
You have alot of possibilities to enjoy an animation and stay fit. Even for little Kids. The animators are all super kind and respectful especially Virginia (Crèche supervisor). She showed so much compassion and kindness. She helped me and my family to enjoy the Hôtel and feel confident the week we were there.
Excellent cooperation! The staff is kind, helpful and professional, always there for the clients' needs and demands. The view is wonderful! We totally recommend this luxury option to our VIP customers~
Fantastic - highly recommend
Helpful, friendly and brilliant from the moment we set foot in the hotel. We were staying with our 7&9 yr olds and we all loved our stay here. We were lucky enough to have a room with a private pool - which was fantastic - would highly recommend if you can. It’s not enclosed but it’s private enough so you can enjoy a peaceful swim with the family or just rest up. The views from the room was stunning - pure ocean and sky! The hotel is quite big - so there’s lots to do. Multiple pools (main pool, salt water and kids pool with kids etc). All were clean and nicely kept. There is also a water sports place just done by the beach which the kids loved. There is a tiny pebbly beach so the the hotel has a lovely massive wooden decking area above the sea which takes a little getting used to but is fab! There are steps down into the sea and some of the best snorkelling I have ever seen in Greece. Pure clear water and plenty of fish and sea life. The food in the main restaurants was great and covid friendly (wearing gloves and masks etc). I would highly recommend booking the a la carte restaurants for breakfast though - a much calmer and less busy experience (roughly the same food too - with better service). Speaking of service, the Guest Relations officer - Ioanna - was a-mazing. Our luggage didn’t arrive (a delay due to our stop over in Athens nothing to do with the hotel) and she was helping us daily (even hourly!) By calling the airport and checking for us. Not only that but she helped us book restaurants and because she is local she recommended some amazing day trips for us to have in our hire car. She was brilliant! All in all I would highly recommend the MarBella Corfu - a great family-friendly and covid-safe hotel.
lovely 10 days but not all plain sailing..
Just got back from a 9 night stay at MarBella Hotel. Very attentive, friendly and helpful staff. Buffet restaurant food was very varied with different themes each evening. Food was good quality and we all ate too much! But I would not want to be using this restaurant in school holidays as it is very large and would be chaotic. I think the hotel was about 1/2 to 2/3 full in early september. The hotel is big and spaced out over a large area on the hillside. There seem to be a lot of different room types - we were booked into a Standard garden view room. This was facing the road and a hillside at the very front of the hotel - certainly not a garden view - and NO BATHROOM (just a basin, shower and toilet all in one room!). On the hotel website it clearly states 'bathroom' on the room description. But we did not stay in this room. When we arrived the hotel only had one room for us instead of 2 (we were travelling with our 2 sons who are 18 and 22). The staff did their very best to sort out our problem and we ended up with adjoining sea view rooms between the sea and the pools - perfect for us as a family of swimmers. I would strongly advise booking a sea view room in this hotel as there were several looking into inner courtyards as well as the awful ones overlooking the road. Do not stay in the main building. The hotel also gave us 3 free lunches to compensate for the mix up. As I mentioned before - very helpful staff. The reception area is not big enough for the size of the hotel and was always so busy we had to queue up every time we wanted to ask a question. It was quicker to phone from our room. The 2 swimming pools are wonderful and very large. We always found sunbeds at the pool and at the beach side. There isn't actually a beach, just steps into the sea from a platform. The bar area was lovely and really nice to sit outside after dinner for drinks. There is a boat to Corfu town which goes from the hotel pier 4 mornings each week. If the sea is too rough, you can get the bus instead. My son used the gym every day (although having to wear a mask seemed ridiculous and made it hard to breath he said). It was wonderful to get out of the UK after 18 months and we all had a great time. I would class this hotel as 3/4 star though, not 5 star.
