Summer holiday Corfu Hotel Ikos Dassia
Stayed at a magnificent hotel Ikos Dassia in Corfu. Amazing service from all staff including Apostolos our personal hotel Organiser who organised everything including such things as restaurant bookings and general support. Wonderful beachside hotel with amazing amenities including several pools and 7 fine dining restaurants. A 5 star hotel with 5 star rooms, food and drink and amenities. So wonderful we have already booked to return to an Ikos hotel next year.
Ikos Dassia-very nice hotel.
My daughter and I stayed at the Ikos Dassia for a week in June 2022 and we had a terrific holiday. The hotel is lovely and clean, the pools are well maintained and the sun beds on the beach are comfortable. The staff are all very polite and a credit to the hotel. The food in all the speciality restaurants are very good as is the food in the buffet restaurants. We enjoyed the Asian restaurant the most. The drinks/cocktails are really nice and presented professionally and their is a good variety. The maid service is of a high standard and anyone would be hard pressed not to have a good time at this resort. My only slight criticism, and this is just me, is that some of the chairs in the Lobby bar and outside on the terrace are not very comfortable but this did not in any way impede on the lovely experience overall.
As close to perfect as you will get in Europe
We have just returned from 7 nights in Dassia and we had such a wonderful holiday. This was our 4th Ikos resort and probably our favorite (although they all have their best bits!). The hotel is simply stunning. The spa facilities are beautiful and even though the hotel was at capacity we never had a problem getting a sunbed and the hotel really felt quiet and exclusive in most areas. There was plenty of entertainment for the kids and adults alike. There was live music in several locations throughout the hotel and a mini disco and show most nights. My son especially ejoyed the face painting at the theatre during the mini disco at night. We did paddleboarding, sea kayaking and hired bikes, all within the all inclusive. The restaurants are wonderful and have magnificent views. The buffet is outstanding. What really makes Dassia (along with all the ikos hotels) stand out is the staff. They are willing to go over and above to meet your every request. The little touches of luxury are also appreciated, including the very fancy "shuttle" bus that runs to and from corfu town, which is a kitted out mercedes van with sporty leather seats! Our airport transfer was akin to a limo, with a fridge full of water and a tv for the kids! If I had to be critical - for those to like to exercise on holiday, the gym (there is actually two) was small and stifilingly hot. I feel the hotel should have just had one larger gym. There is plenty of exercises classes throughout the day though and the yoga deck is in a lovely spot. Can't wait to return.
Exceptional customer service, decor, and greenery!
My partner and I have just returned from a week at Ikos Dassia in Corfu, following a fantastic experience at Ikos Andalusia in Spain last month I immediately booked this trip- and it did not disappoint! The resort is split across two main buildings, called sea and sky. This helps the personalise service across 450 rooms being maintained, whilst still having the capability to hold large gatherings such as their nightly theatre events and weekly white party on the beach. All seven restaurants are exceptional food options, we tried our very hardest to taste as much as we could, there is still so much more to be explored if you desire. We didn’t even get to the dine out option! I really enjoyed the boat trip and dinner to Vidos island, really nice touch and lots of cute bunnies roaming round. I managed to work my way through all of the cocktails on the list, and I can assure you they are all very tasty! For me, the best things about Ikos are the people (the customer service given by the team is the best I’ve received worldwide), the absolutely stunning decor (including the multitude of seating options) and the beautifully maintained gardens and greenery both indoors and outdoors. No expenses spared here. We took the Mini out for day, although only lasted for a couple of hours after we went to what was a beautiful beach- to be reminded that we had our own stunning blue flag beach back at the hotel so didn’t hang about ;) The Greek drivers are a bit more crazy than the British, so drive with confidence and mind the pot holes. There is a regular bus shuttle for Ikos guests to Old Town, again we didn’t last long but mooched some shops. I would recommend the theatre nightly shows, of course this is not West End, but for a small production I found it very entertaining, clearly a lot of effort has gone into it. There is not much ‘night life’, but we focused more on relaxing. The only niggle I could give is that the rooms are smaller than we expected, comparing to other five star hotels or even that of Ikos Andalusia. When we did raise this, the team swiftly helped us to find the right room that we required. I would suggest checking the room type you are booking to ensure it meets your needs. I wish I was able to remember each and every name of the team we encountered, all gave exceptional customer service, the main selling point of Ikos’s brand. However, a special shout out to; Apostolos who from check in to check out was there to cater to our every needs (and we are quite demanding guests!) every single day- even checking in to see if we got home safely which is very thoughtful. It is going to be hard not to text concierge daily with our desires haha! From the daily checking messages, to kindly sourcing our favourite beverage to enjoy in our minibar, Apostolos sorted everything. Christina, the operations manager, was an absolute delight to just speak with. She has a very skilled talent of being able to remain friendly yet professional with customers who have problems, in our case this was due to the room size being below expectations, and she quickly resolved this to ensure or stay was a positive one. I’m overjoyed to hear that she is being recognised in Ikos and will soon be the general manager at the new site- VERY well deserved, and we will see you soon I promise! Maria, from the sky main bar, also deserves our praise. There wasn’t a day, or even sometimes an hour, where I did not see this woman speeding around dropping off drinks and picking up glasses- all with a smile. Her friendly nature and recognition of her regular guests, engaging with each of them as she goes is a true Ikos style! Thalia, from the Kerkyra restaurant, went above and beyond for us on the final evening of our holiday. Ordering a last minute change to our main course, and very kindly sending a desert (or 3!) to our room so we could enjoy the theatre night we had planned. Great customer service given and we very much appreciated it. And we would be silly to not think that the above named stars go without their teammates and behind the scenes team. So thank you, to everyone. For us, we are so spoilt on the two Ikos holidays we have now, there is no other choice but Ikos :) hope to be back soon.
Best all inclusive resort
My wife and I stayed at Ikos Dassia for a week and having been to several other all inclusive beach resorts I have to say this one is far and away the best I have been to. The facilities are spotlessly clean, the food was very good and the staff was excellent without exception. During our visit we never once felt like we were in a crowd or waited to use any of the facilities. All of the staff were friendly, engaging and clearly interested in making our stay pleasant. Particularly Thanos, Paulo and Alicia made sure we were cared for at all times. On top of the quality, Ikos Dassia is situated right in the middle of what is one of the most beautiful places on earth. The blue, blue sea melts into coastlines and mountains which are always slightly obscured by mist coloring them in ever changing pastel hues. If there was an Ikos everywhere we traveled and the quality was the same, we would never need to try a different all inclusive resort.
