Day 1 UK to Honolulu, Hawaii
Depart the UK on your overnight flight to Honolulu.
Days 2-4 Honolulu, Hawaii
On arrival, transfer to Hilton Hawaiian Village for a three-night stay. Spend the next few days taking in the attractions on Oahu and take a resort tour to find out about the hotel’s immense facilities. There are 20 restaurants, bars and cafés to choose from, all emphasising locally sourced and seasonal ingredients. There’s an Italian restaurant, New York-style deli, two Starbucks and an ice-cream and snacks shack on the beach. At Benihana, you can sit around a hibachi table (Japanese live cooking station) and watch as your skilled chef cooks and entertains with sleight of hand tricks. Entertainment includes a Friday night fireworks show and the Waikiki Starlight Luau®, an evening of live music, fire knife dancing and Hawaiian food (at extra cost). Oahu is the perfect island for a first visit to Hawaii thanks to its combination of vibrant city life, epic national parks and big surfing waves. Waikiki is the ideal spot for exploring the island – it’s Oahu’s longest and most famous beach resort with great surfing. There are plenty of options for shopping, whether you’re looking for a little souvenir or some designer beachwear. Shop at the 90 stores in the Hilton Hawaiian Village complex for high-end brands like Louis Vuitton and local boutiques for handcrafted items. Outside of the resort, you can spend hours at the four-storey Royal Hawaiian Centre, Macy’s or duty-free emporium, T Galleria by DFS. The Pearl Harbor Visitor Center and its memorials are a worthwhile visit to pay respects to the shipmen who died in the World War II attack. Climb to the top of Diamond Head Lookout to see the sweeping coastal views back to Waikiki Beach.
